Can this be used as a booster in a captain seat to see over the windshield?

These are not very comfortable and likely would not be good for that. I used mine on the bass boat where my partner uses it just every now and then. While fishing it's more standing than sitting.

What does the bottom of the seat look like. Does it have anyway of mounting it on something?

The base of this seat is a sturdy plastic molding. There is a universal 5" X 5" mounting pattern on the bottom of the seat which accommodates most standard seat mounts.

The seat looks white but the description states it is gray. Which one is it? Thank you!

It is a lighter grey, but defiantly not white.
