Great product
The product is great but I honestly thought that the barbell comes with plates, I guess it’s only the barbell and I need to buy the plates separately. But overall the barbell quality is good.

Good bar, but too small for standard clips.
I first ordered ONE barbell to make sure that it would fit the barbell clips that I have. It fit perfectly, so I ordered four more bars. The next 4 bars are completely different size and none of the clips I have fit. Any assistance on finding clips that fit would be helpful, as the bars are pretty useless unless I can secure the weights in place.

Bend in bar
Purchased 7’ 1” bar. Noticeable bend after deadlifting with 340 lbs on the bar and squatting with 240 lbs on the bar. The bar is a little whippy with that amount of weight. I don’t see how it’s possible this is rated at 700 lbs. The bend doesn’t bother me and I know I will never come close to 700 lbs so overall I’m happy with the product.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT & PRODUCT RESOLUTION / UNIQUE FEATURES
(ATTENTION: Resolution/Assistance available on undelivered merchandise! Contact "Amazon Help & Customer Service" and arrange a chat session with a customer service representative. Solutions include product replacement or refund on order. Product Selections: LENGTH = 5-ft, 6-ft or 7-ft bar. DIAMETER: 2" Olympic style OR 1" Standard type. WEIGHT: 7-ft Olympic = 45 lbs; 5-ft Olympic = 26 lbs.)The 5-ft, 1-inch diameter, standard size barbell appears strong and sturdy - tested with 350 lbs of weight plates. Rated capacity of 700 lbs provides some re-assurance on durability. Most standard bars have recommended load of 250 lbs. No intentions on upgrading to an Olympic bar, which will require replacement of my existing standard-size weight plates.Bar features longer distance between the collar-stops (shaft grip area) - measured at 41 inches. Typical 5-ft standard bars have 37" between collar-stops /shaft grip area; this bar has adequate clearance to fit between the upright support racks of a Medium-Width bench (38" wide). The wider grip area allows exercise performance with better form & less discomfort, especially for bench/shoulder presses. (An option is the 6-ft, 1" diameter bar.)Ideal for a home gym set-up, particularly in confined space. Good construction: (1) Uniform, attractive chrome finish. (2) Solid, smooth bar ends, chamfered edges & WITHOUT center indentation holes at each end (neglectful workmanship). (3) Diamond-patterned, knurled grip areas provide good friction yet not abrasive. (4) Smaller size allows uninhibited motion/movement -- minimizes interference with equipment / objects in proximity.Item is impressive and exceeded expectations >>> 5 Stars! The negative reviews/ratings concern primarily inventory, shipment & distribution issues; and not pertinent to the evaluation of the quality & performance of the product. I received my merchandise earlier than the scheduled delivery date in good condition.

Good bar
It’s a good bar. Cost is ok. I have had it for 10 month. Very small bend. Most I normally squat or bench is just over 200lbs.

If it holds 700 lbs like it says, get it. But it won't be pretty!
Shipping:I placed an order about 2 weeks ago and the first package never arrived. Honestly, I think this is the fault of USPS because tracking the package showed it was at a facility about 30 minutes from my house. It just sat there for days. I tried calling USPS and it's impossible to talk to a real human and the machine was no help. Amazon canceled that order and shipped me another one. This time it shipped through UPS not USPS and arrived promptly in 3 days.Packaging:The packaging for this barbell was terrible. It was in a long, slender box and one side of the box was open. When I picked the package off my porch, the barbell started sliding out of the side of the box and I barely caught it in time! When I opened it, I was a little annoyed at how dirty the barbell was. It was covered in dust and grime. I washed it off with some soap and water and it looked much better. The product itself:After washing the grime off, I inspected it. I noticed some knicks in the metal and some imperfections in the grip section. The ends of the bar are especially like this, with one side not being an even circle all the way around. Hopefully, this doesn't affect putting on and off my clips. I attached pictures. For me, having a clean and nice-looking home gym inspires me to want to spend more time in it. If my gym is dirty or not as aesthetic, I find myself not as attracted to it. That's why I was really hoping this barbell would look clean, professional, and stand out in my otherwise craigslisted home gym. I'm a little disappointed by that. If I spend $100 on a thin piece of metal, I don't want knicks or uneven ends in it. Maybe that's just me though.TLDR / Summary:However, with that all said, if the bar truly holds 700 lbs then I still think it's worth it for the price point. I don't know if it holds that much or not because I only own about 400 lbs of weights. It holds 400 lbs fine. So if you are looking for a bar with no frills, imperfections in the aesthetics, and the ends especially, but a bar that will hold a lot of weight for under $100, then this is your bar.

Sturdy + Spacesaving
Simple and straightforward:1. SPACESAVING: The 6ft length makes it possible for me to lift in my tiny basement with enough room between (squat) stands. My space can’t accommodate a 7ft bar.2. STURDY: Early in COVID, I committed to standard size plates (i.e. 1-1.5” holes) - they and standard DBs were all I could get. Later I was able to get a “collapsible” barbell bar. Good for lighter weights but I wanted to get back to the heavier sets I had been working on in the gym. Along came this bar. Here’s my experience on the heaviest I’m capable of right now:FLAT CHEST PRESS - takes the 250# I am up to like a champ. No bending problems. Yes the smaller circumference of the bar vs an Olympic 2” is noticeable. But it’s been nearly a year since I’ve been to my gym, so you get used to it.SQUATS - it starts bending a bit at 270# and above. By the time I get to 325 or so it’s noticeable, but I’ve never felt unsafe even getting towards 350. My workout space and squat stands require careful racking, so it doesn’t get thrown around. Again, the circumference of the bar feels different from a 2” bar, but you could use a pad or something. I’ve gotten used to it so I don’t.DEADLIFTS: of course it bends when I get up beyond 320 and certainly up to 400. Given the width of a deadlift grip, it’s less noticeable than in the squat. I still feel comfortable with it. Lastly, even after those heavier sessions, it doesn’t stay bent.SUMMARY: probably not a powerlifting bar, but for a regular guy or gal’s desire for some heavier lifts in a limited space and on a limited budget, this works very well.
