I have been using Focus front-loading frames for many years now. They are simple, elegant and inexpensive. The latest ordered ones (this week) are problematic, stemming, I assume from recently poor quality control. In short, the glass is unevenly cut and about 3 out of one order of 6 were almost impossible to get back into their frames. I have never encountered this in all the years I've used the frames. I ordered 2 sets of 6 frames each and only one order of 6 was this way.BTW, if you order these frames in sets of 6, they come packaged in MCI's own packaging and are less likely to be broken in transit. I found this out the hard way when I ordered 10 frames and 4 were broken (the glass is VERY thin and in 16x20 easily shatters in transit).*Notice that I have given this product and not the company 4 stars.*This order did not come in MCI's packaging, but Adorama went out of their way to HEAVILY wrap the individual frames. There was no breakage this time.8/14/10: I recently wrote a review complaining that Adorama had not offered to pay return postage on these rough-cut glass covers. Should have read more carefully, because they DO offer return postage. My bad. Thank you Adorama.

Flimsy frame but works well for the money.When shipping, takes good care to avoid breaking the glass. It took me 3 shipments from different sources on 5 frames to get 2 frames unbroken, which took up several hours of time to acquire two of these intact frames by mail order. On my first order direct from the distributor, both frames’ glass broke in the mail. On my second order via eBay, one glass of two frames arrived broke. Finally, I purchased one from Amazon, and it arrived intact. I netted two intact frames after ordering five.

I bought several of these frames in various different sizes to fit on my photo wall. All frames came well packaged and unbroken. For each sized frame, it was on the most part easy to take out the glass and then fit the photo in and snap the glass back in place. No glass was broken from that process. I would advise not to force the glass out; if there is no give, try another corner and wiggle out the glass from there. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the given directions are clear.The frames do indeed allow the photos to dominate the display. Furthermore, in my opinion, they do not look cheap. I am highly satisfied, but I'm giving 4 1/2 stars because the glass does need to be cleaned on both sides, which is a slight annoyance. I am buying a few more, even this large size.

I've purchased MANY (maybe 20?, 30?) of these frames in various sizes, from 4x6, to 5x7, to 8X10, for example, even including 16x20, and they have all been great. None of them arrived damaged. They are great for a collage or other groupings -- inexpensive and unobtrusive. Perfect for such applications

Works well, but a tiny split in one corner required a little taped reinforcement in order to keep the print and glass in place. I may have caused it by being less careful than this type of frame in this large a size should be afforded. So, be careful and patient, and it should be no problem, I believe.

I have purchased several of these MCS Format Frames in diferent sizes, but this is the largest. It arrived quickly and intact; however the glass broke as I attempted to re-insert it after sliding in my photo. Perhaps I was clumsy, or perhaps there is an upper limit to how big a glass pane should be in these. Other than that, though, these are great frames! If you order one, just be careful when you put it back together, or keep smaller--11 x 14 and under, maybe. Four stars...

I LOVE these frames. I use them to frame my art that I paint on gesso board, masonite panels, clay board, and canvas panels. They fit perfectly into these frames if you remove the glass. The frames also give the panel a hanger or way to hang the art on the wall. Very good buy, adds a finished look to my art and I am able to hang it up.
