Great alternative to antibiotic ointments
Practical, useful, and seems to help wounds heal faster. I chose this ointment for our first aid kit because it wasn't chockful of antibiotics, unlike a certain brand *ahem* This ointment instead relies on Benzocaine (an analgesic) and Chloroxylenol (an antiseptic). The effect is both cooling, numbing, and effectively treats wounds. My minor cuts and scrapes seem to heal up nicely with minimal scarring, too. Would highly recommend this over the other brands out there.

A miracle "drug" from WWII
This first aid salve is related to a major breakthrough in treating battle wounds in WWII. I was a little boy at that time and when I got a cut or a scrape the sting of the treatment was usually worse than the injury. I would pitch a fit. My Mom discovered Foille for these minor injuries and all was right with the world. Foille does not sting and healing seems to be faster. It reduces scaring and stops the itching often associated with scabs. I will never be without it. I have Foille in my car, my home first aid box, my "go bag" and my emergency kit. This is great stuff. Buy it, use it and you will always keep it on hand.

Awesome, miracle product for burns, cuts, scrapes, etc. Can't find in the pharmacies.
My son got a nasty burn from the lawn mower. Took his skin right off. The pharmacist recommended this product to him and had it behind the pharmacy counter. His burn healed quickly and left no scar. I tried to find this at numerous pharmacies and they said they didn't carry it. So glad Amazon had it available. I will always have a tube on hand for burns, cuts, scrapes, etc. Worked like a prescription medication. Everyone should order a tube to keep on hand for when needed.

Had a bad burn and it worked right away
This stuff is magic miracle cream. Had a bad burn and it worked right away! Took the pain away and really reduced the amount of redness and no blustering. Then we have had a few strange situations come up where we said use Foille.... We were backpack camping 4 hour paddle ride to no when a 45 min car ride, when one of our crew had an allergic reaction and her lips swelled 4x their size. She started using Foille and began getting relief right away. It has a numbing agent that is wonderful. I really love this stuff and is always in our first aide kit.

Not as good as it was 30 years ago.
40 years ago, my employer stocked Foille burn ointment in first aid supplies. I used it on every minor injury & burn with excellent results and healing. Back then, I think the active ingredient was Zinc Sulfate. It even smelled Sulphery. This tube I just purchased, to my disappointment, has different ingredients. I used it, and it is OK, but not as good as the Sulphur base of old.

Although the smell is horrible, it is worth the smell for the benefits ...
This cream has been used in my family since before it was on the mark as an over the counter cream and was prescription only. My mom got it as a teenager for a severe sunburn and since then it has been a staple in our family first aid kit. Although the smell is horrible, it is worth the smell for the benefits It is the only first aid crème that we use in our home and I cannot say enough wonderful things. It will clear up any cut/burn faster than any other ointment out there. Foille should be on every shelf and not just available to those who know about it and search for it. Few people know that Blistex makes more than just a lipbalm.
