Washes out after first shampoo
The results lasted 3 days, not 3 months. I tried it twice, and both times it washed away the first time I washed hair, even with the sulphate-free shampoo. Don’t waste your money.

For professional use
The instructions are quite challenging. There's a reason that it says for professional use. I'm going to have to take this to my hairdresser and ask her to apply it for me so I don't wreck my hair by doing it wrong.

This did not work for me.
I've had in salon treatments using this product. This bottle of the product did not work at all on my hair.

Definitely works, and doesn't strip color out of your hair
I've used a lot of hair straightening treatments over the years, including keratin treatments like this. This performs just as well as the best ones I've used, with the added bonus of not stripping out the color in my hair. I dye my hair dark brown, almost black. In the past, every time I've done a keratin/brazilian blowout-style treatment, by the time I get to the flat-iron portion of the process, my once-dark hair turns into a light, tawny brown. Grrr. I normally have to go back and dye my hair afterward, which shortens the lifespan of the keratin treatment. But with this treatment, my hair stayed the same color before and after. Yay! It might have lightened a teeny bit, but if so, I couldn't really notice. Usually the color change is dramatic. I'm not sure why some people were saying they didn't get good results with this. I did, and here was my process: 1. Use a clarifying shampoo (this same brand makes one, if you want to be matchy-matchy) to get all the prior product buildup out of your hair. 2. Get out of the shower (don't use conditioner) and blow-dry your hair. It should be dry to start, otherwise you're just watering the product down. (The product listing says to just towel-dry, but I would really dry it so it's not watered down. The bottle doesn't say anything about wet or dry hair.) 3. Get a spray bottle and put some keratin treatment in it. How much you need will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. Spray it on your dry hair in sections and comb it through to spread the product uniformly. Your hair shouldn't be soaked/dripping, but it should be uniformly wet. AVOID YOUR SCALP. 4. Once you're done spraying it on and combing it through, blow-dry your hair again. DO THIS IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. I recommend plugging your blow-dryer into an outlet near an open window or door. The fumes will start to build at this point, and you don't want to be inhaling it if you can avoid it. Also, the fumes can set off nearby smoke alarms (ask me how I know). Make sure you dry your hair thoroughly, because it has to be totally dry before you flat-iron. 5. Flat iron your hair in sections at a relatively high temp (I did 430 degrees). More fumes will be released at this stage, so again make sure you're in a well-ventilated area. It's possible that some of these people who have had bad results missed one or more of these steps. For sure, I would be concerned about hair loss if enough of this stuff gets on your scalp. There are also other negative health effects that have been reported to occur by people who get a lot of this on their skin/scalp. Carefully avoid that as much as you can. Also, when I was applying, I wasn't wearing a shirt. Next time, I will wear a throw-away shirt while applying, because there were some parts of my shoulders that got a little product on them while I was applying, and partway through it started to burn so I had to wash it off my shoulders. It didn't do permanent damage, but it wasn't comfortable. Note: the product listing at the moment says to leave the product in for 30-45 minutes before blow-drying. The bottle doesn't list a period of time to let it sit. It just says spray it in and then blow-dry it out. So I didn't leave it in my hair for any processing time after spraying and before blow-drying. It worked just fine that way. I did have a terrible experience years ago where I left a different keratin treatment on too long before blow-drying, and I lost a lot of hair that way. Choose your own adventure on this one, but I'm going to continue blow-drying it out without letting it sit for any processing time, especially since the results I got are just as good without that additional risk of hair loss. Does this stuff have formaldehyde in it? Yes. This is the unfortunate truth about all of these keratin treatments (or at least the ones that work). Even the big name-brand ones that advertise as being formaldehyde-free often aren't. They might not list formaldehyde as an ingredient, but there are several other chemical compounds that basically turn into formaldehyde when heated. (Fun fact: the state of California actually sued one of the big manufacturers who claimed their product was formaldehyde-free for this very reason.) So, to sum up: does it work? Yes. Does it preserve hair color better than the regular treatments? YES. Does it have crazy powerful chemicals to make it work? Yes.
