Great Shape. Great deal. Love her innocence in these pictures.

Wonderful Example of InflationThis is one of the best examples for understanding inflation ever published. On Feb. 12, 1979, Madonna Ciccone posed for the pictures included in this collection of nude photographs and then signed a model release giving all rights to the photos to the photographer for a total price of $30. True, Madonna was already being paid for her later nude modeling class by NY City New School/Parsons so at the time the unknown model was probably delighted with the extra cash, which was worth a lot more at that period in history. It may have been enough to pay her rent for the month?Martin HM Schreiber was a struggling young photographer but he was delighted with the appearance of Madonna who described herself as a dancer. Most of the nude models the schools hired for their nude modeling classes did not look anything like young Ms. Ciccone. To the photographer she was like a dream come true.The text in this photography collection cries out for more details. Madonna obviously had a good sense of humor as seen in several of the photos of her playing with a pet cat. She looked like she loved the obvious visual kitty puns. “She had a great body…she was very comfortable with her nudity. She posed well.”Madonna became very famous with her singing career while Schreiber was overseas working on his own career. He eventually noticed that her face was on several magazine covers. When he asked his girlfriend whether she thought anyone might be interested in publishing his photos of her, his girlfriend immediately shot down the idea. That action definitely leaves room for a possible jealously motive on her part but it's not explored. It wasn’t until 1985 when “Playboy” published four of his Madonna nudes that the history of this photographic shoot begun to become public.The photographer still feels that nude photographs are not about sex, they are about beauty. This book is well worth the purchase price and it’s the most reasonably priced one of the market. Definitely a page turner, even if it raises more questions than it answers. It was definitely a good thing for him and Madonna probably learned much from the experience as well. Posing for photographs was still a new experience for her and she definitely wanted to show off her beautiful body.

Read a review in Esquire magazine, so I decided to buy it. Little light on content. But it is pure Madonna, even at this early age.

As always, Madonna satisfies. Her music is ok. Her pictorial presence is spectacular.
