Good for small room temp rooms
If you have a small room this works so well to maintain coolness without the water option it’s just a fan with cold water it’s almost like a mini ac would highly recommend for rooms that are small and not too hot if your room is really hot this will not help

Product works but not a good idea
The item works, but is the typology of product that is wrong. Mayne is good to produce just a breeze in not hot country, but if the temperature is very high is useless.

Not cool air as expected
I read the reviews and i am not sure how people are saying it really cools. It doesn’t cool the room as i thought it would and the air that comes out is not as cold even when adding the ice packs.

This isn’t an air conditioner which makes it much cheaper to run and much more environmentally friendly. If you use the ice block it will blow icy cold air right at you - bliss on a hot and sticky night. It works well enough to keep me in bed and not on the settee during the hottest of nights. It makes noise but not to the point of keeping me awake. I switch it on to maximum speed, 30-60m before going to bed and then put it in night mode. Really easy to move around when empty. Easy enough to set up and very easy to use. I wash out the tank with anti bacterial spray before refilling. I'm very happy with it but wasn't expecting it to chill the whole room.

This is not an air conditioning unit. It will do some gentle cooling of the immediate air that blows through it, but won't affect ther overall room temperature. As long as that is understood, then it is a good buy. It does make a difference when the room gets excessively hot. It's essentially a slightly sophisticated fan which uses the principal of evaporation and latent heat to slightly chill the air that it blows through its filter. This will make anyone sitting in the air flow feel cooler (- e.g. it's actually 30 degrees but feels like 27 and bearable). From arrival, and out of the box, it took only moments to make it operational.10 seconds to attach the wheels, and 30 seconds to add water to the tank, along with the supplied ice packs which were already cold. In day time mode it can be a bit annoying as it keeps turning itself off for a few seconds, then restarting. In night time mode, that doesn't happen, as it starts off with a fast fan, then slows to a steady fan speed. So night time is the mode I use. The noise level is very acceptable, and I probably could sleep with it on. Probably best to have some other ice packs chilled ready for when it's time to refill the tank with cold water. Standard freezer ice packs fit well.

Partner uses this in his gaming room. Speed settings are great and for the money, we really can’t complain. We haven’t even out the ice packs in and the cold air that comes out is quality! Will be buying another 4 for the kids ready for summer lol.

Great fan, using ice packs really helps the air stay cold. However, there isn’t an easy way of getting the water out once you’re finished with it, I tried tipping it into the bath (with great difficulty) and it there was still a decent amount left inside which I had to use towels to soak up so not the best in that respect.

I know! I understand! It's soooo tempting - the idea that an "evaporative cooling" fan will make life so much more bearable during a heat wave. And with the UK suffering through four heatwaves this summer, I can understand the allure of this unit all the more. But ... SAVE YOUR MONEY because I'm sorry to report, it just doesn't work. I tested this fairly extensively and discovered that in a normal sized bedroom, I was able to get the temperature down by somewhere between 0.5C and 1C, and that's with chilled water from the refrigerator and two ice blocks in that water. It does somewhat work as a fan, but even as a fan the unit doesn't hit the mark because there's actually only half of it that blows air. Of that big opening in the front, 50% of it is just for show, and there's nothing at all behind it - except a big chunk of black plastic. The fan portion is the right hand half of the opening. Overall. I'm sorry to report that this cooler is very unimpressive. Honestly, my inexpensive standard fan is as good ... perhaps even better than this. The airflow is better and it is certainly SIGNIFICANTLY better value for money.
