I like this item so much.

The tension doesn’t stay tight. Easier to do it the old fashioned way and use my hands.

You can keep cranking the tension tighter but when you go to floss gives a little and makes it really awkward. Could be better. I would rather just add a new piece onto a reusable handle every day than mess with this. It's awkward and bulky

its a little finicky to load new floss in, but thats pretty minor - this is great if you hate wasting single-use floss picks and also hate fitting your whole hand in your mouth to hand-floss lol

Alright, felt I needed to leave a good review of this as a counterpoint to the negative reviews. This is quite simply the best flosser I've used with some heavy caveats.TLDR:Pros: Keeps floss tight, doesn't bend under tensionCons: Useless floss pre-installed, difficult to replace flossThis flosser uses a ratcheting spool, so once you've pulled the floss out, routed it over the prongs, and wrapped it around both securing posts, you then wind the spool backwards to get tension. I'm not sure if the poor reviews on tension were because they didn't understand this (the instructions are pretty sparse), or if they had faulty ratcheting mechanisms. On mine, the only time it ever came loose was when I hadn't wrapped enough times around the posts.So on to the heavy caveats. The floss is pure and total junk. I could NOT get it between any of my teeth. It felt like I was going to break my teeth trying to shove it between them. I pulled all the floss off and replaced it with some random floss we already had on hand. And thence comes the second caveat, getting the spool out to reload is easy enough, but there is nothing to help you wrap new floss onto the spool. It's a tiny spool to handle and it would take a long time to wrap by hand. I cut a take-out chopstick down and pushed that into the center of the spool and stuck the other end into a drill and that had the spool reloaded in seconds. However, it's pretty unreasonable to expect customers to improvise tools in order to use a product.So, this could have been 5 stars if the included floss was good OR it was easy to reload. As it is, I'd still rate it 5 stars for myself because it works so well once reloaded and it was easy enough to improvise a reloader, but I'm knocking a star off because that's kind of an unreasonable flaw for a flosser.

Doesn't keep the floss stiff enough (not tension at all). Doesn't work at all. I had to throw it away. I wish I could have returned it and got my money back.

I bought this to use to floss my kiddos teeth and it is perfect! Small enough for baby mouths, and easy to use.

It took a few tries to get used to threading the floss, but I eventually got that part sorted out. The biggest problem is that you can't buy a refill for the spool of floss. The floss itself is thin and pretty smooth, but it does break from time to time. It's a so-so product, but I'm definitely moving on.
