I don't know if you can buy parts separately, but you wouldn't want the table top without the tripod. The usefulness of the table is all about the tripod.

I'm not sure, but I'd guess the 10.41 lbs is the table and legs and the 17 lbs is the shipping weight with the cardboard. It's not nearly as heavy as it might look. It has a strap on the side of the legs that makes it easy to carry also. I love mine. It's by far the most stable platform to shoot from in the field.

Q: Will the table swivel up & down enough to allow shooting uphill & downhill & how quick is the adjustment?

The table screws down to the top of the tripod legs and will not swivel. However, the table can be quickly adjusted by positioning the legs or adjusting each leg up or down. The best part of this table is that it can be adjusted to meet your height requirements whether you are sitting or standing.
