Works great, fits well & easy to install; well engineered but a bit pricey.
I had an old super light cannondale Mtn bike with an adjustable stem shock, but the bike finally fell apart - since I'm 71 yrs old and dont do trails anymore I changed over to a Trek fx 3 urban bike which I use mainly on pavement/ bike path or hard pack. It has an upright stem with staight bars but, especially with bad arthritis in a wrist, you take a pounding because of the stiff frame, etc., I wish I had installed the RedShock stem two years ago! WHAT A DIFFERENCE - I noticed immediately. It fit perfectly, was very easy to install - directions very clear; it comes with several elastomer shocks to use - I went with the 60 based on the chart, but changed over to a 50 for more shock absorption. Although expensive - you do get what you pay for and it's worth it to save your wrists & shoulders.

Saves shoulders and neck
I bought this (and the seat post version) and can ride my old drop-bar trek pilot comfortably again in spite of the relatively large number of years I’ve lived. Doesn’t diminish control enough to matter and kept me from moving to a flat-bar. If your neck is an issue, get a long enough stem to not kink-it when in the drops.

Works for Me !
Bought this on the recommendation of a fellow who does insightful YouTubes under the name DirtyTeeth. It is a stem shock, and as long as you understand its limits, it works great for what it is. It somewhat dampens the road vibrations on uneven ground. One version also also elevating the handlebars for a slightly more upright stand (too).I've installed on a Salsa Fargo outfitted as a bikepacking trail bike. This bike doesn't have front shocks, so I've used this stem to dampen the vibrations that come from riding rough dirt roads or mild trails. It isn't night & day, but it does absorb a measure of the vibration that my hands & wrists would otherwise suffer.I would recommend it for bikes that will be used with some frequency on rough roads, and for which the offered geometry fits your bike & body. Make sure of the latter before you buy.

Substantially reduces shock and vibration transmitted from road into handlebars.
Started riding again after a 9 year hiatus. Being over 60 now neck and back pains are more prevalent. To help soften the ride of my Giant FCR1 flat bar road bike, I purchased on of the ShockStop Suspension Stems. I've only taken one 18 mile ride since installing it and I'm quite pleased with it's performance so far. It really smooths out vibration from minor road imperfections such as grooves in concrete pavement and the roughness of old macadam. And it substantially reduces the shocks from expansion joints and cracks in any pavement, no more jarring handlebars going over the mismatch between road and bridge surfaces. Now, the ride is not as supple as that of a full suspension fork; that's not what this is. And Redshift makes no such claim; it does what they say it does. I'm a fairly large rider, 6'-2" & 250#, no lightweight. The ShockStop Stem handles me without bottoming out harshly. I don't think it actually bottomed out on the first ride. It is a nicely designed and manufactured aluminum stem. My bike has 1-1/8" (28.6mm) steerer tube diameter and 31.8 handlebar diameter so no shims were needed. It's pricey for an aluminum stem but a decent value for what it does. I couldn't give it a 5 star rating with just one ride. After I put a few hundred miles of riding on it; I'll revisit my review and update it if necessary.

Smoother than a suspension fork.
Having riden a Trek 930 Singletrack with an Trek air/oil Mogul suspension fork on my main crushed gravel trails for over 15 years I changed to a Scott Sub 30 all aluminum rigid fork bike as it had a more upright riding position, the problem was not having a front suspension I was feeling every little bump and it was hurting my wrists, lower back and neck as my typical rides are from 14 to 40 miles.Weighing in at a slight 320 pounds finding something to handle my weight and to further improve my riding position to a more upright posture I chose the Redshift Sports Shockstop 30 degree suspension stem. It came with a selection of urethan dampners that you can install to set it up for your weight.Installation was smooth and took about 15 minutes, and at first I was like is this thing working as I didn't really feel much up and down motion to my handlebars but after riding about 5 miles I realized that it was working as my ride felt like I was riding in a Cadillac. It just removed all of the jolts and bumps and did so without any drama. Its allowed me to ride much longer and be less fatigued and beat up, I highly recommend this product! It is very well designed, built and finished, definitely will not be the last Redshift product I buy and will be buying one for the wife's bike.

Nice suspension stem
This stem provides a noticeable reduction in vibration and shock from the road surface. I'm very happy with it!

Feel’s overpriced
It’s easy to install and change the shock absorbers but it seems about $100 overpriced. If I had to do it again I would get a model that raises the handlebars without the shock absorbers.

One of the best bits of bike kit I've ever bought
I have this (the 30 degree model) on two of my bikes now. They're both small-wheeled bikes, one with 406 wheels and the other 451, and while it's a god-send for the small wheelers, I would put it on any bike without a suspension fork. Simply put, it's the best solution for front-end micro-suspension. Does a fantastic job of quieting road chatter with almost no downside - no extra maintenance, no annoying bob, no sluggishness from using fatter tires.Only cons are the price and the weight for a stem - but compared to other suspension solutions, it's cheap and light.I can't thank Redshift enough for coming up with this - makes a huge improvement in comfort.

Does exactly what it says on the tin
I put this on my touring bike as I found that unlike drop bars, where you can change positions more easily, on a flat bar bike your hands are more or less in the same position all day. I have bar ends, but they take you away from the brakes and gears so you can't stay there all day. It's simple to install, the main thing is that you depress the stem slightly when screwing the internal bolt in. It doesn't require a lot of weight, just a slight push, but make sure you do it or you risk cross-threading the internal bolt. There's a bag full of elastomers and a guide to suggest what you might like. One thing to note - if you have bar ends, like me, you may need more stiffness as there's a lot more leverage on the stem when you're on the bar ends. The travel is about 5mm, it takes much of the road buzz out of the bars. And it makes uneven surfaces, especially poorly-laid asphalt or flexipave cycleways, much more comfortable. It's that simple. It just makes your riding more comfortable. I'd say it's like going from 23mm tyres to 35mm tyres. Or a stiff carbon saddle to a Brooks leather. Or no bar tape, to thick padded bar tape.Well worth it. I'd only rate it down slightly because it's heavier than a standard stem. Also, it has no keyway, or means of helping ensure the stem is aligned properly with the steerer tube on installation. Manufacturers, please put keyways/grooves/painted lines on equipment to make this easier!
