Just above the reviews Amazon summarizes the reviews overall, saying “Customers have expressed negative opinions about the pliability and ease of opening and closing of the garment protector cover. They mention that it feels like cellophane and is stiff and sticky. Customers also have issues with thickness. Opinions are mixed on value, performance, quality, fit, and material.” I did take all this into account, reading the good reviews, bad reviews and the ugly reviews. I’m very thankful I decided to go ahead and give these a try despite the negative reviews. I bought the longer 60” bags and did NOT have any issues with my them; they are not stiff or sticky, they are not too thin or too thick, they were easy enough to open and pulled over my garments without tearing. They ARE lightweight, sheer plastic and will tear if handled roughly or get hung up on a hanger clip, but that’s what I expect from dry cleaner bags so I handle them gently and cover my longer garments with care. If I was looking for bags that I’d be taking on and off my clothes regularly, I’d buy heavier weight plastic bags but these are covering clothes like costumes and petticoats that may or may not ever be worn again. The intent for my use is long term coverage to keep dust from gathering on these very seldomly worn garments. Because these bags are very light weight and would probably snag and tear easily if not handled with the gentlest of care, it kind of feels like they deserve no more than 4 stars, but honestly, what they are is exactly what I expected, so it feels wrong to down rate them as if I want them to be what they are, for the price they are, yet indestructible at the same time. If you want indestructible, hardy bags that you can treat roughly, these aren’t that.

Do not recommend these. Thinner than expected and difficult to use.

These won’t last long. I’ve ordered others in the past and they are more of the quality you would expect when getting clothes back from a dry cleaner. These are not worth the money being asked.

They are not as thick as a cleaners plastic but they are very good. I got the long ones and they are great for long coats etc. Once you figure out how to unroll and carefully detach them there was no problem of tearing or breakage.
