THE JOURNEY WITHIN
I recently went on a cruise with my friends, when one of them recommended this book. Interestingly enough, a section of the book talks about journeys. The author has intricately highlighted the importance of solitude. We take up vacations to spend time but ourselves, yet the serenity of the mud wavers away after a few months. Reading about it I thought, "Yes, it is so true. Every single example related by Swamuji in the book is very much related to my life." Infact, we all experience the same emotion, in my opinion.Swamiji has rightly pointed out that even an inter-galavtic trip cannot bestow us with peace. We search for peace e etc now and then. We run behind it forever, and fall headlong at the feet of misery. The author thus, tell us that the best journey is that of the soul. True peace can only be achieved by discovering the self.Swamiji has a unique style of writing where he states the obvious things we experience in life, and then while you are thi king the solution to it is going to be complicated, he baffles you with a simple solution! This book is promising! Moreover, the chapters and sub-chapters increase readability. Just like a mith gets attracted to fire, I was hooked to the book. I couldn't stop my "thoughts" from finding their way to completing the book. Some other fascinating portions of the book include incredible stories from our history, as well as EMI ent personalities from different walks of life.I also relished instances from Swamiji's own life. His personal experiences added a fresh hue of fragrance to the book. My most favourite of them is Swamiji's personal instance kn practice. It verily highlights how practice pays off. We often think that every successful person was born successful but the author condems it. He beautifully implores us to put in our best efforts, and improve 1% everyday. I have been trying to do so with my diet. Instead of eradicating junk food at once, I decided to make a healthy choice every day. So far, it has been working well. Hope to continue the journey and achieve success.Talking about the body, did you know that there is a connection between the body and the mind. Swamijis explanation on mind power is phenomenal . The examples of Raman Maharishi, Shree Kripalu ji Maharaj are exciting to know and they gave me goosebumps! The book is surely to enchanting your mind and change your thoughts. I strongly recommend this book to each and everyone.

Enlightening!!
"The Power of Thoughts" is one of the best self help books I have read. It provides excellent way to transform thoughts, combat the unnecessary thoughts and to become physically and mentally better by getting rid of distress and unhappiness.I was amazed to read how our thoughts impact the body and might cause psychosomatic illness. It beautifully describes details about faulty thinking and it's causes, sheds light on over generalizations and it's impact on us. It also provides solution to get rid of all such faulty thinking. These are certain things that is often overlooked. We never ponder on such things at such a granular level in our daily life. The most impactful lesson was about "witness consciousness", impressive to know how various saints have achieved it. This is a powerful way to combat our negative thoughts. The author provides a logical explanation on how mind and brain are different, and how we can focus on the right thoughts and remove mental clutter. This books also talks about the importance of having a spiritual master who can help us dispel the darkness with light of knowledge. The book has multiple examples of wonderful people and how they have made their lives successful by utilizing the power of thoughts.Overall I feel this book is a treat for mind and soul. Must to be read, not just once but again and again to declutter the mind and fill it with positive and vibrant thoughts.

Best Mind Management Book!!
This book by Swamiji is an eye-opener. Thousands of thoughts cross our mind every single day, but we never take time to observe them. The author has presented likeable and practical arguments as to why we should watch our thoughts, their effect on body and mind and how can we change them to improve the quality of our living. My favorite story from the book is that of Shravan Kumar at the Dandakaranya forest. It verily establishes the importance of good association. Like it is said, "We become what we think." Therefore, associating with the right people and places is imperative.Similarly, Swamiji has presented the readers with many intriguing examples, analogies and anecdotes. While most self-help book authors present theories and tools based on their own experience, it does not assure us a sure shot way of doing things. Most of them are hypothetical situations and interpretations. Swamiji has bridged the gap between assumption and true knowledge. While he provides scientific proof for every statement, he strengthens the argument with scriptural quotations.I also liked the analysis on practice given by Swamiji. We all are aware that practice is integral. But in spite of practicing a lot, we often tend to fail in achieving our goals. The reason for this is that we do not indulge in deliberate practice. Yes, there is a difference between practice and deliberate practice. As kids, we all have played cricket for years, yet why is it that we do not evolve into star cricket players? The effort and hard work by Dhyan Chand and Virat Kozhi are remarkable examples. Learning about such real-life personalities helps oneself to move ahead with inspiration. The four stages of practice are very enlightening. The step-by-step breakdown helps us to measure our own progress. I would name this ad the "practice scale".As the book progresses many more topics of the mind have been covered. I will leave them as an enigma for you to discover them all along! The book is very beautifully designed in order to help you delve deeper and deeper Into the mind. There are so many layers of the mind which have unfolded here. The moment you think, Ah! This is interesting. What more can the mind entail, another concept gets unraveled before you.The journey of this inner discovery is simply mind-blowing!!!
