Handsome mug, very well-made! We love the warming lid/coaster. It's especially good for brewing herbal teas to extract as many of the good compounds as possible from the tea before serving. We mostly drink black tea, but an herbalist had explained the importance of covering herbal teas and steeping them long enough (10 minutes+) to make the tea as effective as possible. The lid fits just right and the whole design is encouraging and beautiful. It's an excellent product! I am hoping to find more designs from this brand. I bought it for my son, and he likes it so much, he uses the lid for other mugs we have as well. You can also simply use a small plate or clean saucer, which we've done for years, but this is more compact, less slightly drippy, and looks better.
