The best southern brazilian erva mate that you can get in the US
I lived in southern Brazil for 22 years (Rio Grande do Sul) and naturally enjoyed "chimarrão". Now we are living in the US and are very happy that we are able to purchase this excellent product! The double rapped freeze dried packaging really helps to insure the freshness. The excellent quality of this tea results in a rich flavor. To me the Nativa company makes the best quality Erva-Mate tea. Bom Chimma!

Great stuff, but clogs your strainer!
This looks like matcha: very green, very finely ground. The flavor is as good as it gets, and it stimulates for hours; only problem is: how do you strain it? Personally, I use a stainless steel strainer (as opposed to bombilla), but with this mate, I need a large strainer, and then a smaller one, and patience! Even so, I have actually bought it again.

Fresh and potent
FYI, this is Yerba Mate processed for the Brazilian taste. Its un-aged and un-smoked. It’s ground very fine and using a bombilla can be challenging for new users. I make mine in a French press. It’s not as tasty to me as the Yacuy Organic Erva, but it’s a cheaper. The flavor is: cut grass, Bisquick mix, and something herbal… bay leaf? Oregano? Another flavor I’m having trouble identifying… it’s not bad and it definitely has the caffeine and euphoria you expect from a good Yerba/Erva. I will probably go back to Yacuy Organic or try Cultyvada next, though
