Best potty pads that I've tried!
I ordered a pack of these over a year ago and didn't feel like it was important to leave a review, but also because it took me almost a year to use the package I had purchased! My little shih tzu is housebroken, but I always leave out pee pads just in case I am in expectantly working late. It's not fair to my pup to make her hold it on those days that I didn't know ahead of time that I was going to have to stay at work for a couple of extra hours and I refuse to put her in a crate when I'm not home! Also, living in the Midwest, winters get cold and it can be hard on a little dogs feet to be out in the freezing cold and sorry, I refuse to put little boots on a dog! A winter sweater, but no boots! So, anyway, a year ago I ordered these, it took a long time to use the whole bag, but once I did, I was out at one of the larger home improvement stores and just grabbed a large bag of their pads and started using them. Pee pads are all the same right? Well actually no, they are not at all the same! With the brand that I purchased, I'd put them down and if I came home and saw that my dog had used one, when I'd go to pick it up to dispose of it, there is always always a wet spot on the floor! My dog is about 8lbs, she is incapable of peeing out more than possibly 1/16th of a cup of urine when she needs to go and I'm being generous in the amount of urine that she would possibly go at one time, yet these pee pads that I purchased from the home improvement store ( that were 3 dollars more than this bag of glad brand bags mind you) have not even been able to hold that amount of urine and I always need to mop the floor under the pad once I get home on top of having to toss out the pad! On top of the disappointing performance of the store brand for my dog, I have now rescued a lion head bunny. Since adopting her, I have discovered that you cannot put normal rabbit bedding down in her cage, anything you leave is going to stick to their long hair! I was at a lose as to what to do until another lion head owner suggested that I use pee pads to line my bunnies cage! An ingenious suggestion that has kept my bunny's hair free of bedding debris, but once again, lifting out the pee pads is a disgusting mess! They wind up being soaked with urine and wet underneath the pee pads as well! So tonight I threw in the towel on this other brand of pee pads and I just placed an order for another bag of the glad pee pads! They work incredibly well, not once did urine ever soak through the pad and onto the floor when using for my dog, I'm just hoping they work just as well in my rabbits cage! I will keep you all posted if they do or not, but as far as using for my pup, they are the most absorbent pads that I have ever used and will continue to order these and only these from now on! I should known that since they are made by glad, they were going to work better than any others! No one paid me or gave me any promotional incentive to give this review, this is my honest opinion and I cannot recommend these any more highly than what I have said already! No, pee pads are not all the same and the expensive ones that come from reputable stores do not work better than these! Trust the Glad brand pads! They work better than any brand out there!

Charcoal Helps with Odor!
This brand with the activated charcoal are the best for absorbency and containing odor. Great value too!

Great absorbency and odor control
Not just for puppies! These puppy pads work really well. They absorb quickly and hold a good amount without leaking. The charcoal layer is a nice touch—it hides the mess and keeps odors down better than regular white pads. The size is just right for our older 12 pound dog, and she seems to go right to them without issues. They’ve made cleanup easier and the room doesn’t smell like it used to. Good quality, no leaks, no smells. Bought others before, but the smell and absorbancy is not even comparable. Will definitely keep using these. Great value for the money too.

Pretty good.
I normally get training pads from a loco-store. But ever since the Covid lockdown and traveling restrictions, going to this particular store, standing in line, in the hot sun for hours, just to get training pads, seems insane! So being able to get these for just a dollar more than the ones I normally get, is a bargain. The downside of these are, they’re about 3” shorter lengthwise and lighter weight/thinner, than the pads I get. Being smaller, presents less area covered for our dogs to use. Laying down two pads, we loose 6” and four pads, 12” of floor coverage. The big issue we have is, we have five dogs in the house while we’re at work. These pads are thinner, which makes it less absorbing, resulting in leaks. The other problem with these pads being so thin, is our 8lbs dogs (or my wife and I) walking past these, will cause them to fold over, resulting in our dogs peeing on the underside of the pads rather than the topside. So, more problems with these than our normal pads, but a good enough alternative to driving an hour to the store then standing in the sun for hours for social distancing.

Absolutely fabulous
Great product if you have pets inside that’s potty trained inside guest won’t know that their pampers are in the home

They’re like a 7, used to be a 9 edit3: 5/10 changed again.
I really like these pads bcs they’re black, and u can’t see the nasty pee stains. I’ve been buying these for months, and when I bought them a 2nd time, they changed/redesigned the pads, and I thought it was better than ever! However I lowered a star bcs I recently bought them again, and they changed them again. Now they seem so thin and flimsy, I don’t like what they did when they folded the sides in even more than before which I thought was perfect before! As I put these ontop of a tray so if the dogs pee off it, it gets absorbed or is on the tray(which they usually don’t but some accidents happen) and the folded sides just bring it in, and stays folded making it more likely for that to happen unless I really fold it back and take the time to do so. I also think the ones I used to buy would hold more pee, as these seep through a little bit but I just wipe it down, didn’t have that problem before. Stop changing the pads and leave them alone. You keep changing the recipe it will be a different one, and more so less appealing. They were great as is. As this folded in side is rlly getting on my nerves! The top is the newer version and bottom is older, u can even see more padding on the older version. You can also see how the older version just sticks up better and the new won’t stay up and keeps folding down. The only reason the other side of the newer version is staying up is bcs I have it pinned to the wood. I like the older version better. Edit: they seemed to change the pads again! But this time they laid the edges flat!! Much like the older version now, I love it sm and now I don’t have to struggle w folding the edges the other way so it stays flat down. So crazy how that little detail means so much Edit 2: so they changed the pads again and not only are they thinner but they’re not even 23x23 anymore. Rlly debating to stop supporting this brand bcs for $25-31, these pads should be top quality and they keep changing them, it’s annoying quite frankly. I measured the pad out bcs the recent ones I bought nov 16th are smaller and don’t fill out my whole tray anymore, and it measured to be 23x22, so they took off an inch. As a paying customer, u pay for something u like, and when it keeps getting changed, u start to not like it cause that’s not what I was initially buying. Just the changing the pads and being smaller is enough for me to stop buying. Stinks bcs I used to love these pads, and the pads I bought on nov 2nd and it was like the first version, I loved the flat edges, 23x23 and seemed better quality. So I bought them again(16th) in hopes of flat edges and they changed them to the folded edges, thinner and a smaller 23x22. These also definitely seep through. Almost all the time. So I think I’ll stop buying these now )

Best I've tried
My cat stands at the very edge of her litter box to urinate and sometimes gets some out of the box or overshoots completely. Even though I have the box in a large shoe tray to keep it from getting on the floor it is still a pain to clean up each time it manages to to outside the box. Paper towels and newspaper just made a wet mess so I started using puppy pads. The ones of this size can be cut in half and work perfectly for my purpose. The pads I started out using were much thinner. While they didn't leak through, they weren't as absorbent either and did nothing to cover the scent. I knew that charcoal was used in my air purifier filters to absorb odors, so I thought these with activated charcoal might work for that purpose. Wham! With these I never know if she's had an "aim" accident based on smell. Unless I can clearly see that the pad is wet I have to tilt it against the light each night to see if it needs changing. The urine is absorbed quickly and there is no leaking despite the face that half of it has an exposed edge. The price is great compared to others I've seen and used, and the odor control of the scent of cat urine can't be beat. I can't say how they work for puppies, but they're a keeper for me and my cat.
