Just what I expected...
I purchased this flex shaft entirely based on the reviews. The other model Proxxon flex shaft reviewers said there were problems with vibration so I went with this model. The flex shaft is VERY flexible and the aluminum hand piece is well made. The first time I attached the flex shaft to my Proxxon rotary tool I inserted the male end into the coupling about half way and when I turned the rotary tool on I was greeted with all kinds of noise and vibration. I was disappointed but I decided to try a few things before sending the flex shaft to the bottom of the tool box. I loosened the rotary tool's coupling and fully inserted the male end of the flex shaft into the coupling. There is a metal stop the coupling will bottom out on. I restarted the rotary tool and the noise and vibration were significantly reduced. You get so use to the Proxxon rotary tool being so quiet and smooth by itself that you are spoiled into thinking it should be this way all of the time. The flex shaft is very flexible even when running. When you insert a tool into the flex shaft coupling you will need a 4mm or smaller rod to lock the flex shaft to tighten the coupling. There isn't a lock button on the flex shaft and if you try to use the lock button on the rotary tool the steel cable inside of the flex shaft is too flexible to allow you to tighten the flex shaft's coupling. I just happen to have a long thin screwdriver that fit through the hole in the flex shaft handle to tighten the coupling. This hole is the black dot you see in the picture closer to the coupling end of the hand piece. I used the flex shaft for two hours straight and there were no signs of heat anywhere in the shaft or hand piece. I am very pleased with this tool and I would recommend it for any rotary tool brand.

Durable well made flex shaft, just as great as the Proxxon tool itself
It's a great product, I've used it for short jobs and extended jobs, sometimes an hour or more of continual use. Doesn't heat up during extended runtime, and the vibration is low. At the end of the day, when the shop lights go dark, the Dremel tool next to the Proxxon goes to sleep and dreams of being a Proxxon, as the Dremel is a toy compared to the Proxxon. (the only good Dremel rotary tool product is the EZ lock mandrels, those are exceptionally convenient, albeit it expensive to replace the cutting disks) I've owned every single Dremel rotary tool they've ever made, cordless and corded, and I've smoked every single Dremel I've ever owned. Every single one, including the one in the picture. The one pictured I had to rebuild and it's now one speed and is a piece of junk, I use it with one single bit. Now the Proxxon however, I've owned for about six or seven years and is robust, and no matter how much torture I put it through, it's good as new. I've used this new style Flexishaft for about six months, and just as good as my other Proxxon Flexishaft not pictured. That one is also six or seven years old in my mobile toolbox.

Does not screw on to the hand tool
Why they didn't make it screw onto the hand tool. And to just like the Dremel does so that he outer shaft doesn't want to spin. Hand tool has a cap that'll screw off and this could scrawn to it this looks like it has threads on the cap but you can't screw it on to it.It's back because I thought it would be dumb to have to clamp on to the inner shaft and not have the outer shaft attached to anything else.Patching this I'm not at all happy with it.

Proxxon 28662 Flexishaft
The unit I received is made in China. Quality is excellent. It is made with precision yet it is a very rugged tool. It is extremely quiet in operation, flexible, and transfer power from rotary tool to tip very well. My only complaint is it did not come with any instruction. I expect most people who own a rotary tool can figure out how to use it. I still would like to read the detail product feature and instruction from the manufacturer. I have to experiment to figure out which collar from my rotary tool works best with this tool. Be aware that Proxxon made another version of the similar tool (Proxxon 28620). That version has received some complain on heat and bearing noise. I have not encountered any of these problems with the Proxxon 28622.

Proxxon 28622 Micromot Flexishaft 110/BF for use with Proxxon Rotary Tools
Proxxon 28622 Micromot Flexishaft 110/BF for use with Proxxon Rotary Tools is a nice addition to my Proxxon rotary tool. Attaches with the Chuck on the tool via a long shaft that does require it to be fully inserted to run smooth. No heating of hand held or extention flex. Handheld tool requires a small nail to lock shaft when you change bits. I've already rigged mine with a tye wrapped Nail to the tool hanger. It does make fine work easier than just using the tool. I will use this most of the time rather than hold the tool while working. It would even be better, if it were a foot longer.

Best flex shaft on market
I LOVE THIS. Great balance, quiet, low vibration.. I have severe Carpal Tunnel.. A few minutes with a Dremel and/or Dremel flex shaft and I have to stop, find my wrist brace and continue through gritted teeth. I can and have used the Proxxon flex shaft for 4-6 hours with nary a pause. I have It hanging from a stand at my workstation, run it continuously and haven't had an issue with the casing overheating as some report. I will continue to buy and use this product, hands down.

No problems with this. Use it for very long carving sessions
I use this shaft, on the average, about 3 hours a day for wood carving. I use the tool at 15000 RPMs, which seems to work well. I have carved many projects with no problem. I trashed a couple of the shafts, before getting on to the fact that I had to let it stop completely, before changing bits. Otherwise, my rotary tool would continue to spin down, and the shaft's internal parts would strip out. I have two spares sitting on the shelf, and will get a couple more, in the near future.
