Very impressed! The largest size self healing mat board fit perfectly on my workbench. Looks great, awesome quality and I was super happy that it shipped flat. The only strange thing is that I received two. I double checked that did not order two or pay for two. So, not really sure what to do with that.

After attempting to buy another brand's cutting mat, I got a Prop 65 warning, as I live in California, alerting me to potentially hazardous materials. I did some consumer research and found that a fair number of mats produce off-gassing as well. It seems the two may be related. Yuck.Since I plan to hover over my mat while using it, I certainly don't want a material that could potentially put me in the way of unwanted fumes. I'm very happy to report that this large-scale cutting mat by Elan is both NONTOXIC (with no Prop 65 warning when I purchased it, yay) and has no ODOR which may bother more sensitive customers.I have used it successfully to cut fabric with a rotary cutter and it held up well.Three suggestions:Put something nonslip between it and your table/desk (I'm using a silicone sheet used in baking) to increase friction.Use a 2nd silicone mat on top of your cutting mat if you need some heat resistance (such as when using a hot glue gun).Over time, some nicks may happen on the surface, so vary the location of your cuts to extend the life of your mat.

Very nice mat that is clearly printed on both sides. Great size for cutting table.

I ordered this mat as my old one was about 15 years old and my rotary cutter was not cutting very well and it wasn’t the blades. I figured it had to be the mat, so I chose this one for the multiple layers, the two sided capability. It’s a much heavier and bigger mat I had, but it’s really nice and I’m sure it’s going to hold up much longer than my old one. If you are going to classes, I would choose a smaller size than what I got just to be able to carry easier.

I use this as a travel mat and it's suitable. I wanted a less expensive option in case it warped in the car. I don't love the markings so use my ruler for measuring. Self healing works nicely for the price point.

I purchased the 72 x 36 mat and was super pleased and impressed that it was shipped FLAT in a sturdy, DURABLE BOX. I am able to immediately use it. No part of the mat was warped or damaged. The mat is a full 72 inches by 36 inches. Like any normal mat, there approximately a half inch border all the way around. The black side with white lines is easier to read. The contrast is better. The mat is thick and feels durable.
