This is great for a sloped ceiling. It's easy to lock your TV in place. If you were mounting it on a flat ceiling however it would be very difficult to fold it up and lock it into place unless you had a step stool. Also on a flat ceiling you'll be able to swivel the TV mount and point it in the direction you want. it will not swivel on a slope ceiling. But you can fold it up lock it into place or fold it down and it works great. The product holds my 50-in TV no problem. It is about 25 lb it says it's good for over 40 lb. This is not super heavy duty but it does the job for an inexpensive price. One last thing I bought the open box version it came without instructions at all. It was not hard to figure it out and there is a video that makes it easy for you. All the hardware was there.

This was very well maid and precise. I was mounting a TV on an angled ceiling in an attic loft and could not find exactly what I wanted but this was a great base to start. I especially like that the TV can fold back against the ceiling and lock in place when not in use so its out of the way. If you have an angled ceiling this thing is awesome and would work great for normal ceiling mounting as well especially in a garage or man cave where the TV isn't in use all the time it can be folded back and locked up to save space. Would also be great for a monitor in a shop setting that isn't needed all the time.
