So, I've been on a DIY cheese-making kick lately (think haloumi, paneer, and the likes), and I found a nifty little tool to help out - a 2-piece Food Grade Plastic Tofu Press Mould Kit. Yes, you read that right, a tofu press for cheese making! These molds are pretty neat for a couple of reasons. First off, they're super easy to use. Just press your cheese mixture into the mold, and voila, you're on your way to homemade cheese heaven. The fact that they're designed for tofu but work wonders for cheese is a cool kitchen hack. However, there's a slight catch. I kinda wish the tops of these molds were a bit more weighted. When you're pressing cheese, you want that extra weight to help squeeze out the moisture and get that perfect cheese texture. It's not a deal-breaker, but a little more heft on top would make them perfect. Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with these molds. They're a great addition to any DIY cheese-maker's arsenal. Work well. Each press mould comes with its own cheesecloth. The only downside is finding a suitable weight to balance on the press lid itself, without falling off! I’ll have to fashion something out of wood, I think…

Las telitas para colar no funcionan muy bien, son muy équeñas, recomiendo conseguir tela más larga para que no se vaya a salir el tofu. Igualmente hay que ponerles peso encima para que expriman bien así que creo que mi mejor opción hubiera sido las que ya tienen unos broches, pero bueno, la próxima compra será una de esas.

Have used once or twice for tofu pressing, but mostly as feta molds. Either use - they work great.

I like these much better than round molds for making paneer/curd. It's so much easier to efficiently store square/rectangular blocks than rounds. I use them every day and satisfied with the quality. Might look for a bigger mold, but otherwise, these are good enough for a gallon of milk curdled.
