This matches almost exactly to the OhSnap 1.0. Materials are a bit more flimsy than the original though.However,There is no way that this thing has N52 magnets in it. They appear to be 3.5 to 4 mm disc magnets on both units. But testing them against some verified N52 5x2 mm magnets I have, shows that the original OhSnap has much more pull. And when this is used against the OhSnap 1.0 Charging base, it barely holds on, even with no phone attached to it. It almost seems to repel slightly. Pulling each off of a flat metal plate, the original OhSnap requires approximately 3x more effort than this unit does to remove.10 out of 10 for size and shape compatibility, but minus several hundred for the crappy magnets they used.

If your a fan of the first edition of ohsnap keep your ohsnap magnet and grip then just replace your band! I replaced my ripped up band with this new one, it works great! I get to keep my strong magnet 🥰

I can't believe I'm giving this 4 stars, but using parts from it solved my dilemma. The Snap 1.0 is discontinued, but is far superior to their glorified pop-socket they "upgraded" to called Snap 3.0. The magnets on the original 1.0 are much stronger than this Amazon replacement. I tried using this outright at first, but a simpme shake of my hand and the magnets pop loose and my phone falls. That doesn't happen with the Snap 1.0 magnets....but you can easily lift up the 2 pins from the backside of this, slide out the pins, remove the strap, and with a small flat head screwdriver push the strap into the old 1.0, reinsert the pins, and you're back in buisness with the original strong magnets. It's a little tedious, but not bad.

I had originally purchased the “oh snap” phone grip for my phone. It lasted a few years until the rubber part on the back snapped which rendered the item useless.” I searched online to see if there were anything comparable and stumbled on this. The magnets are not strong enough to attach to any metal surface. Unfortunately I had to return this and continue my search for a replacement.

I really like this until i tried to attach it to my magnetic holder in my car and the magnetic wasn’t strong enough. Then today the rubber strap just snapped and it’s now useless. Cheap? yes? You get what you pay for i guess.

Love the grip, only downside is the magnet to hold the phone against metal is much stronger than the magnet holding the grip to the phone so every time I pull it off a furnace I'm working on, I have to pry the grip off of it, and put it back on my phone. Other than that, amazing product.

I had an original ohsnap and loved it, but the rubbber eventually after years of use broke. I tried to buy a replacement and they are on a 3rd generation and it is a completely different product… but I don’t want the product I loved my original product! I figured I would give this a try because it looked there same and I am beyond happy!!! It not only works as well as my original ohsnap that I loved, I can still use my oh snap car holder with this product! I think I need to stock up on this item in case I need another one!
