The Bentgo Microsteel Heat & Eat Container is not insulated so it will not keep the food warm. It is microwave-safe though so you can heat your food up using a microwave.

Can the lid go into the dishwasher?

I hand wash it but sure, it seems like it could go into the dishwasher
