Bathroom Thermostatic Shower Mixer Wall Mount Hot Cold Water Showering Faucet Temperature Control Valve

My wife and I love this shower faucet. I lived in an RV fulltime for over 25 years and now live part time in one. I do this for business. I have had over 15 RVs. Motorhomes from an older Newell, 2 Country Coaches, a Safari and a Newmar. I have also had 5th wheels such as a Mobile Suites and a Montana (absolute garbage). I say this to show I have had a few RV experiences. The reason why I like this faucet so much is because it does exactly what they say it should, it keeps a consistent temperature even if you shut the shower head off for a couple of minutes. Another thing that's wonderful with it that was totally unexpected is that the faucet totally does away with the pulsating of the fresh water pump. Now all that's left is to see how long it lasts. My only complaint isn't with the faucet, but with the difficulty I had installing it in my Country Coach Intrigue motorhome. There were 2 adapters from the 3/4 on the faucet to the 1/2 inch female. I then needed threaded pipe to use the old faucet nuts to tighten it up to the wall and then attach the supply lines. The fittings that come with it were useless for my application. Because the faucet supply is wider than the old RV cheapo faucet I had to use some beauty rings that worked very well and looks good. I will give two Amazon links for what I used. I love this faucet- the 5th of this style. This 6 inch model has controls that are easier to read than some similar 4 inch models, and the knobs are easier to turn with wet or soapy hands. I like that the hose connection is on the bottom, where the hose naturally falls. The hose connection threads are pretty short though, so you may need extra washers to seal your hose. These faucets allow us to reduce the volume of water without changing the temperature and also they compensate for changing temperature of incoming water. The unit was packaged well and delivered in perfect condition. Caveat- the installer needs to be ready to do some freelance plumbing if you are doing a swap over. I find these are pretty easy to convert by using a plastic cutting board to fab a new faceplate for mounting over the old cutouts. I normally need to make new longer nipples to go through the mount and still leave adequate threads for a sharkbite or pex adapter. The 90 degree pex adapter works well in tight spaces. Seem well made and looks nice as an upgrade to our coach. The only reason for the 4 stars is there was no option for one that had F° not C° but it looks and works very well after using tub adapters to mount it firmly in place. The adapters that came with it were not correct for my application preference. I added an led shower head and it is a very nice and easy to use with preset temperature. It looks different but it looks nice once it's installed.

Bought this for my RV due to having issues getting a nice solid temp without changing the temp. The install was easy as can be. No leaks no issues. The unit is very solid heavy and well made. I have used it for more then a dozen showers so far and no issues in temp or control. Only thing to say is that the hot side of the metal gets warm as can be.

SHORT LIFE AND NO WARRANTY!!! This is the third time I am replacing this faucet. First one lasted three years, second one lasted one year, and this one? after 3 months of very moderate use is malfunctioning. The seller is giving me the runaround, pretending he can't find my order. It was a mistake to buy this. for the cost of three of these, I could have bought a brand name plumbing fixture which usually have a lifetime warranty.

We put this in a walk-in shower and it works great! We did have to but different fittings but most of the time when changing out fixtures, something is bound to not work! Not a big deal. I love the temp setting. You leave it where you are comfortable and it’s ready to go the next time. Great purchase!

This worked out to be a direct replacement for my existing mixer block. It took about 15 minutes to fit from out of the box to testing (obviously this depends on having the tools to hand and turning the water off) so far I’m very impressed.

It is a very nice and heavy unit. Having it self control the temperature is great, whether for kids or adults of all ages. Pressure control is working great as well. We mounted the unit vertically, temp control high. Works fine. We have it in a small 30" x 30" shower one piece unit. The only issue is how it is held to the shower wall. It isn't ... not really well. If the shower wall is too flexible, it can only end badly. The installation instructions actually warn about this. We drilled the holes just big enough for the water connectors ro go through. The front plates we used in the bCk of the shower, w/ the nuts (Chrome finish) in the front to grab the shower wall. It works ! Some silicon for extra "hold", almost gluing things together. There is still some flexing, but it should hold up to the test of time. Overall, a good buy. Just be ready to do a bit of thinking to install this otherwise beautiful unit to your shower wall.
