BEST high temp paint available, period!
Sprayed a 57 year old Austin Healey exhaust manifold with this paint following the directions perfectly. I noticed an "exhaust to tailpipe" bent stud and decided to replace it. It refused to come out while trying ALL normal methods. I finally took a torch as final effort, heated the exhaust almost cherry red, thinking I would have to repaint the whole manifold. I was able to break the bent stud loose and as I let the manifold cool, the area I got so hot, looked identical to the rest of it!!! The paint was still perfect in color, adhesion and looked perfect!! Great paint!!

I hold POR15 at a somewhat high standard but not sure what I am getting now
POR-15 High Temperature Paint, High Heat Resistant Paint, Weather and Moisture ResistantPOR15 advertisements used to be to the point. Seals against rust, apply to clean prepared surface, needs a top coat to prevent weather erosion. etc.I thought I was buying the same product but this one seems different, and very little information on if it is the same as the original POR15 I have used in the past.So whatever it is I bought, it went on ok, used a brush to coat some metal that was prepped and painted with POR15. It seems ok. Time will tell if it was successful. It still has the same qualities of drying hard, though in the past over time the POR15 tended to "soften" and would peel off. I didn't expect thatI am assuming this is the same product and as we all apply things differently, I may have done something to cause the peeling after 10 years but going soft was not expected.I WIll RECOMMEND this with caution that you research the product well before purchase.I do not know the seller nor did I get any money or product for my random review.240916 1103

Excellent Product
I used this to paint an Exhaust and Intake manifold on a 81 CJ5. I had to replace the manifold gaskets, so I took the opportunity to clean up and paint the manifolds. It took only 1/4 of the small 4oz can to paint the manifolds with two coats. I waited 24 hours and installed back on the jeep. There was some smoke for about 30 seconds and then manifolds were back to normal. I've put around 150 miles on the jeep since painting and the manifolds look great. I read so many posts about POR-15 being a single can use and done. If you clean the top of the can well the lid will not seize to the can. I've since reused the paint on another project and I'm down to 2 oz remaining and its as fresh as the first day I got it. Clean up and properly secure and this will last till its gone. To keep the rim of the can clean I recommend putting some blue painters tape around the seal during use and remove and clean up the top before securing the lid. I'm so comfortable that this can be reused with proper care that I plan to buy a gallon can on my next purchase.

If you follow Directions they turn out amazing
First time using por-15 high heat product. Followed their directions by using their recommended metal prep and cleaner degreaser. I watched the YouTube video done by autorestomod. They detail how to use this product very well. Can’t wait to bolt these up to my 1969 F100 Ranger

Strongly suggest applying with roller...
Shows brush marks something terrible; so strongly suggest applying with roller. After light sanding, applied first coat and waited 24 hours per instructions. Applied second coat this morning and looks good on end pieces of grill cover where the original paint had flaked off after 20 years. Time will tell if it holds up to the high heat from the BBQ grill.

Great coverage.
I have used this product to paint both the intake and exhaust manifolds and look amazingly well and durable.
