Smells and tastes yummy!
My daughter and I both love this tea. It's creamy with warm spices ~ not spicy hot. Smells like Christmas. We like to add a little milk and honey.

Yummy teatime with this brand
I was skeptical of this tea. Pudding tea? Carob for flavor? Yep, it was a smash hit for me. I am allergic to chocolate and this tea has a refreshing taste that reminds me of chocolate. I drink a cup of decaffeinated tea every evening, add my Miralax and perhaps a little sweetener, sit back and really enjoy sipping it.

A Very Stately Sturdy Black Tea
Not unlike the estate for which this one's named, this full-bodied BLACK TEA has a sturdy, stately, elegance for any time of day. Some people can't stand caffeine at night, but I personally like a cup of this tea an hour or two before bedtime. It just seems like the perfect late evening tea to me!We absolutely LOVE the Republic of Tea line... So it's no surprise this one is as fine as so many others. This will fit in well among our hundreds of flavors of tea.-- And no, we're not a restaurant; we are just a small family with a real penchant for having every imaginable flavor of tea available whenever a guest is over. Goes something like this:- "Would you like some tea?"- "Sure, what flavors or kinds do you have?"- "Well, probably just about anything you can imagine. What flavor would most PLEASE you right now?"And we almost always have exactly what they requested... And now... we have yet another flavor: DOWNTON GRANTHAM ENGLISH BREAKFAST to delight palates and noses! These REPUBLIC OF TEA teas come in delightfully designed classic cans, with those lovely little round pillows of flavorful delight and aromatic deliciousness. I am definitely a HUGE FAN of how well-made the TEAS (and the PACKAGING are!!)The burst of flavor emerging from the first opening of the cap; the satisfying feeling of certainty when you place the cap back on and feel it seal so well, knowing that tea will remain FRESH. I love everything about these teas.Lord and Lady Grantham (tho fictional) should be so lucky as to drink this tea every day!

Fresh and luxurious
This tea has a beautifully full flavor profile. The raspberry is rich and subtly sweet. I love this caffeine free blend.

Love this Tea
thank you Mrs. Patmore and Daisy. I know it is only your picture, from characters you play in Downton Abbey, but I happened to have loved your characters, so your faces on this tea makes it feel more appealing. Aside from that, the tea is quite delicious! A pleasant odor and mild taste--it is just perfect for me, and I can well imagine the Downton staff enjoying it around the table. The serious downside is the price, plus I must pay shipping! That kind of knocks it out of the frequently purchased range.

Expensive but delicious
Love DA so had to get this tea. It really has that 19th century taste, hard to put into words. It tastes timeless, classic, very rich flavor, very nice tea, better than a regular chamomile. Lovely with honey and lemon. Probably great with milk or light cream. Nice with cookies (or biscuits!) and probably great with "sponge" cake or fruit tarts. Will buy again.

Love this tea
I first go this tea because I was into everything Downton Abbey...but then I tasted it and fell in love with the wonderful warming flavor. I have not found it on the RoT website recently so came here to Amazon and glad to find it again.
