Exactly what I needed
Turns on when dark Off when bright

Flickers in evening so incandescent bulbs burn out. LED's can handle the flickering.
It flickers the light bulb in the evening. It burned out numerous small incandescent 25-watt bulbs. Then, I switched to LED and that is ok. It still comes on early before there is NOT a significant drop in light level, but the LED is low watt thus not costing a lot of extra money.

Excellent Lamp Post Day/Night sensor
Worked for 10 years. I replaced with the same sensor and installation was a snap -- just turn off the power from the fuse box and follow the wiring diagram.

Poor Design
The photocell potion that protrudes through the lamp post is to short. My previous review is more detailed and I am not going through this again.
