COLETTI Diner Coffee Mugs — Restaurant Coffee Mugs, Retro Coffee Mug – Sturdy & Heavy Diner Mug – Nostalgia in Every Sip [Cream, 11 oz, Set of 4]

I bought these because I’ve always loved the mugs they have in diners! I use them almost every day. They’re very sturdy and dishwasher safe! I love them!

I was adding to what's remaining of my favorite cafe mugs that I have had for over 30 years. Originals were from one of the original coffee houses named Pannikin in San Diego before Starbucks exploded into the market. These are not quite the same, but are nostalgic, vintage mugs that evoke memories of diners and coffee shops. My originals had even thicker ceramic, and had the beautiful imperfections of handmade mugs. (If anybody knows where to purchase that type please send me a message). I especially like that they are made of thick, very heavy ceramic because once heated (or pre-heated), they hold the heat and keep the coffee warm for a long while. Those ubiquitous light weight ceramic mugs seem to chip very easily, and I'm certain these will not. Plus, I think these are the coffee mug equivalent of drinking a cocktail out of one of those heavy double old fashion crystal glasses....the weight seems to add to the experience. Form follows function. Simple. Nostalgic. Just what I like in a coffee mug.Two things to note. (1) They are not a bright white color, rather an off-white. It kinda adds to the authentic look of them. (2) They do have a depression on the bottom that will hold water when cleaned in a dishwasher. (If that is one of your many pet peeves, consider placing a valium or Xanax in the bottom of the mug prior to pouring coffee;-). I will be ordering more.

I ordered these as I was looking for something that wasn't cutesy. These hit the mark! Very classic and nostalgic. Perfect weight. Great cup of coffee!! A couple of the cups had slight blue blemishes, most likely from the blue "Coletti" ink n mark on the bottom, but these "blemishes" actually give the cup a little character, not a flaw necessarily, but more of a humble and warm feeling. Can't wait to use them for an upcoming ladies brunch!!

Truly gives you the diner / military feel. Well made, thick, heavy. Only complaint is the size. Wish they made a 12 or 14oz mug and it would be perfect. Would purchase again!

You have to have a coletti mug to go with your coletti percolator (if you don’t have one, get one!). It’s a plain & simple heavy-duty mug.

These are great mugs. Nice size and easy to hold. They were packed well when they arrived and in good condition.

I never write reviews but I love these mugs so much. I have had Buffalo China for several years. They are made out of the natural clay from Buffalo, NY, chunky diner style. The Buffalo mugs from my set are small, 7 or 8 oz. I am so pleased these mugs match perfectly in true diner style and are bigger but not so large your drink gets cold! They are perfect!!!
