I have a long haired dog and it picks it up pretty good. The weight of this is a little bit lighter than the weight of the original head of the Dyson vacuum. So depending on how thick your carpet is, if you have carpet the head of this vacuum part may be too light in weight If the cat hair is in bedded deep. If that makes sense?
