PILOT Kakuno Fountain Pen, Clear Barrel, Fine Nib (10819)

Assigned to be a beginner instrument for fast fountain pen sketches, it does the job pretty dope. Very well weighed, has a tactile feel to the grip, actually very good for all kinds of articulated strokes. Initially thought of going for an extra fine (it’s already a Japanese fine which is equal to a western extra fine and is still more finer) but somehow wasn’t sure about it considering its scratchy nature. Using the new kakuno with a con70 and platinum carbon ink and this thing just glides on the paper. Very predictable in nature and is an instant love. Wish it came with a clip though, but meh ! it’s fine the way it is. Will get more of these, and recommend it highly to more Artists.

Best pen in this price. Worth every penny

Coming from Parker vector the build quality,smoothness and writing of this pen is beyond amazing!But I have 2 concerns-•Has no pen clip•You need to buy the converter separately which costs another 600₹ (almost ½ the price of pen itself)

Loved the ergonomics. Nib is a little scratchy (I got the F) but I like that, makes it feel like a fountain pen. Ink flows exceptionally well, even when I'm writing fast.

Only thing i didn't like is that grip can get slippery if you sweat ,its not scrachy although EF should be better for drawing, hatching etc

Worth the purchase :) The pen looks beautiful in demonstrator, the build quality is really good, and in my case it writes smoother than my lamy safari (F) though it writes finer. Fits well with the con 40, if you cant get a full fill in the con 40 then just use a syringe.

Light weight and writing.. like buttery smooth
