I have a mattress with a pillow top that adds 2 extra inches so 14" in total. Would my mattress fit since it has a 16" clearance from the wall?

You can use the 14" deep mattress but you will need to install the bed to the floor slightly further from the wall in order to also have space for the bedding. Also, the wallbed package includes a mattress retaining strap, however with a 14" mattress you may need 2 extra straps, these can be requested after the purchase for free. The wallbed has to be securely fixed either to the wall (concrete, brick wall) or to the floor (concrete, wooden floor) or both.
