Avalanche Women's Everyday Hiking Quick Dry Woven Ripstop Ankle Pant with Pocket

I bought these to travel in Vietnam and Cambodia where temps were 90 degrees and I needed cover from sun and mosquitoes. They are lightweight and the size medium came to my ankle (I’m 5’2”). Very comfortable and there is a zipper pocket just above the knee (on the side) that was handy for $ and credit card. I would recommend for every day wear and especially for travel. The fabric doesn’t wrinkle or stretch and wears well.

I've been buying summer clothing that provides sun protection. I started with long-sleeved "rash guard" shirts for biking, and discovered that they were much cooler than going sleeveless. Recently, I purchased these pants (and also some hooded coverups) to wear while boating. Much simpler than slathering myself with sunscreen, and genuinely cooler than linen, cotton, or bare skin. I'm 5'1" tall, 100 lb. I bought one pair in size XS and one S. Both fit fine. They are not "ankle" or cropped on me, which was my intention. After a day in the sun, they were unwrinkled and I still felt cool. I'm not sure how flattering they are, but better than the linen "shmattes" I usually wear. The fabric is very lightweight but didn't stick to me in the 85-degree heat.

I absolutely love these pants!!!! They are light, airy and great for hot weather. The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the pockets are so shallow. I can't put anything in them without it falling out. I would love to order a pair in every color but I need to be able to carry items without losing them.

The pants are lightweight and comfortable. If the pants are recommended for hiking, the side pockets should not be shallow and should have a zipper so that something won't easily fall out if you bend over. The zippered pocket can only accommodate a small iPhone. The back pockets have no closure. The pockets on these pants are the only flaw for me and that's why I'm giving three stars, otherwise, it would be 5.

These are great for travel. They hand wash beautifully and air dry, quickly. Made of a rip-stop type nylon type of fabric, they fit very well and look beautiful on. True to size. Can be dressed up or down. City hiking, or rural hiking, these pants are hard to beat!

I just ordered a second pair of these pants when I realized I reach past similar items in my wardrobe to grab these. Pros: - they are super lightweight and comfy even on the hottest of days - they are a nice length, not too short - they dry almost immediately! I joke they come out of the washing machine dry. Which makes them fabulous for travel. Cons: - this is super minor, but the zipper pull on the cargo pocket annoyed me. It was easily untied and removed.

They were wonderful! Then I washed them. A huge hole is now in the crotch. It wasn’t there when I was wearing them the first time and it wasn’t there when I put them in the wash.

I purchased a medium I'm 5'3" 155 lbs and they fit great. I'm smaller on the bottom than the top. I love all the pockets they will be useful. Very well made. You won't be disappointed.
