This is a real saw to bring down branches up to a fairly considerable size.
I used the saw to bring down two branches on a hardwood tree. The lower one was about 16’ high, being approximately 5” in diameter. The other about 18’ high, and was about 10” in diameter at the trunk. I performed the work from fairly high up on an 8’ step ladder. The saw cut the first branch off easily and dropped it clean. The weight of the saw was more than I initially anticipated, however, I was able to keep it under control. The second one at the trunk of the tree was slightly bigger than the saw blade, so I cut it about 2 feet from the trunk where the blade could complete the job in one cut. I later went back and trimmed it closer to the trunk. The saw performed perfectly. It had plenty of power. To test the battery, I used it to cut up the branches. It completed most of the work before the battery died. The enclosed instructions indicated that the battery will gain stamina after the first several charges. I will verify that at a later date.I have a suggestion that I believe is important when using the saw, especially for the first time. I would spend a little time simulating the action of your cut without it running prior to making your cuts. It is real saw and has surprising weight at full extension.

can't use the saw separetly
I did not give it a higher review although it probably should have one. I wanted one where I could just use the saw without the pole. It was easy to put together, but not what I wanted . I just wanted to be able to use the saw without the pole. It did seem very sturdy and well made though.

READ to end. CHEAP!!! Would not recommend THIS product. But the Company DID MAKE IT RIGHT WITH ME.
Please read to the END. The following was my ORIGINAL post:Piece of CRAP!! The pole connects to the saw with PLASTIC. tHE PLASTIC BROKE and the saw is hanging from the pole! NOT WORTH A DIME!! I did not even have this product a year!Although I would still NOT recommend THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCT,I am giving the COMPANY A 5 STAR.The warranty had expired but the COMPANY contacted me to offer a FULL REFUND which I agreed to.Along with that they also offered another FREE PRODUCT. The company DID THE RIGHT THING to make it RIGHT WITH THE CUSTOMER. IM GIVING THE COMPANY A 5 STAR RATING FOR THEIR CONCERN TO THE CUSTOMER.

This saw is a beast!
I love this pole saw!! Got it yesterday and assembled it that night, a breeze. Used it today and fell in love with it. Cuts like butter, pole is grooved with a lever locking clamp for extending and the saw and handle stay aligned. The blade tension device is so frigging quick and easy, so awesome not to need a wrench and screwdriver to adjust. I'm 67 years old and even at full extension I was able to manage with it. It has a tad more weight than other saws but you really need that to keep the saw head on the branch being cut. I recommend this product big time!

Stopped working after 2 months
Stopped working. My husband liked it at first it wasn't exactly what he had expected but it worked good enough for what we wanted. After a month it was not working as well after 2 months not at all. Too late to return.

Ok, not great
The directions to assemble were not clear. The chain came loose after almost every cut. The cuts were not clean- the edges frayed (branches were 1-1.5"). It is also rather top heavy. Battery did last for my use, approx 8 branches.

Works great
It is easy to put together. This pole saw is well-made and performs better than expected, in both cutting speed and battery life. I had trouble finding the instruction to install the blade but eventually realized it was pretty easy to do. It is an excellent tool for cutting down branches and palms with ease.

Cutting head a bit heavy.
Saw works well. I am six foot one with strong upper body strength.I don't have a problem holding it up when it cuts thru a branch. If it gets away from you it will smash into the ground destroying it. So keep this in mind when considering purchasing.
