A knife is not just a knife
I have owned a variety of knives over the years and do my own sharpening plus love to cook. Having the right knife is just as important as using the right pans and buying fresh ingredients. This knife checks all the boxes and is easy to sharpen, holds an edge for a reasonable time, really nice to hold the way the handle is designed and most ( least really) important, looks good! Brought it to a friend that makes knives and he was very impressed with it and could not believe it was so inexpensive. It is my go to knife for most any cutting and has held up extremely well over the last year. For me at least, it just feels good to use and works amazingly well.

A very good value
A particularly handsome chefs knife, and very sharp, too. Feels good in the hand. Arrived in a handsome box, making it perfect for gift-giving, though this was a gift to myself. I researched chefs knives in some detail online, and this was my choice. It proved a good one.

What a knife, the balance is real good cut fantastic sharp easy to clean love the knife is a good knife. Yes, I would buy another one if I need to, but this seems be a good enough knife to last a while.

Better than expected for the price
2025/7/29: (about a week of usage)Pretty good so far, surprisingly 😲Kawaii: n/aFunctionality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐Sharpness (ootb): ⭐⭐⭐⭐½Keeping sharp: n/aPrice: ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐Size: ⭐⭐⭐½Build quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐Packaging: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Pros:- It arrived sharp enough to pass the paper slicing test- Handle is ergonomic-ish. Nice and smooth. No rough edges- Construction good with no cracks or glue showing etcCons:- Handle is chunky. I have big hands and it feels a bit big.- A little heavyArrived quickly. The build quality was nicer than expected. Box is nice enough to keep and use if you don't plan to have them out for regular use.I tested the sharpness on arrival and was surprised they were ready to go. It was able to easily thinly slice tomatoes, cucumbers etc. It is heavy than my other Gyuto which means its weight helped slice some things but it also did not feel as agile. You may not notice unless you have another knife to compare. Blade is a little thicker than what I would expect from a Gyuto.I'm doing all my cutting on end grain cutting board. All veggies and nothing harder than normal root vegetables. Beets would be the hardest so far.We shall see how long it keeps the knife edge / how often sharpening is needed.
