The USBC adapter works. Shockingly. The cable doesn't work with anything, and any attempt to use it will result in the following message: `usb usb2-port4: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?` And the device itself. My God. It won't read any sort of disk unless it is orientated upside down. In it's correct orientation the disk rubs against other bits of the drive, which resists the motor and causes playback to fail after 30-60 seconds. I wouldn't be surprised to learn the disks were getting scratched in the process. I can't imagine trying to burn a disk with this. I'd be frightened it would catch fire. Also, the noise profile is annoying. This is an absolute piece of crap, especially for the asking price. But credit where credit is due, it does actually read 4k blurays and play them if the correct software is provided.

well, disappointing to say the least. plays dvds just fine, but refuses to play blurays. trying to troubleshoot this online leads to the same rubbish: dirty disc, clean disc, its the disc.... and it bloodywell is not as these bluray discs are brand new sealed ... and dont play, then cleaned and still dont play. have assumed its a power issue, where its not able to draw enough power from the pc panel its plugged into.

The device is good but it does seem to operate slower than my previous USB blu ray drive. It does read 4k - even though the internal box had me slightly worried as it didn't have consistent logos etc.

I tried playing a 4K UltraHD DVD with this plugged into my Mac and tried it with three different pieces of software - Macgo, Laewo and DVDFab Player but all of them stated that the drive was incompatible so I am returning it and will now search for a player that does work. Also the instructions that came with it were all in German, there were no English alternatives at all.

4k didn't work for me. Software has to be downloaded, so it's not plug and play unfortunately.

No instructions in English supplied and can’t seem to find any on line. No driver seem to auto load and you need an App to play Blue-Ray.

Very little used, purchased end of August 2025 now 21st November 2025 and will not play anything, just spins the discs, Cyberlink will not recognise the discs, useless, trying Amazon for guarantee, only one star sorry.

I used this bluray player to watch Games of Thrones from bluray disks and it works very well. You need to download the proper software like Leawo.
