Freeze Dried Passion Fruit Powder, 4 Ounces, Passion Fruit Powder for Cake, Drinks and Baking Food

This product surprised me with it's realistic passionfruit flavor, especially the tang often missing from things labeled as passionfruit syrups. I used it this holiday when making a passionfruit curd (I did a lime curd and added this powder to taste.) and it worked beautifully. I have added it to a strawberry ice cream mix for a fabulous ice cream blend. Real passionfruits are hard to come by here in the states, and quite expensive, and pulp is sometimes good but always expensive. This is easy to store, easy to use, and great for most purposes. Great to have on hand. I look forward to trying it in shortbread, I use powdered dehydrated strawberries for great cookies and think passionfruit would be a great variation.

I am obsessed with passion fruit right now. After ordering, tried passion, fruit and receiving a sugar coated product, I thought I would try this sugar-free pure passion fruit option. The bag is not large, but the dried passion fruit is exactly what it says it is. I added it to a blended margarita. And it was amazing. There are seeds that are not ground up which I really like. it is definitely pure passion fruit. I would recommend it especially for cocktails. The fruit is naturally sweet so the fact that the sugar is not added, makes it taste sour, just like a passion fruit shed. I recommend it for cocktail mixes.

It has a rich, natural flavor and a smooth, creamy texture. Super easy to prepare and perfect for quick desserts. I added fresh passion fruit on top — delicious!

I don't review products I've bought on on Amazon until I've had and used them for a while. I confess passion fruit is one of my favorite flavors. It is reputed to have relaxing qualities, and is a little bit acidic like lemons or oranges. This powder doesn't have the seeds and dissolves readily in hot or cold water. Sometimes I add it to tea, other times to homemade lemonade. I fell in love with passion fruit many years ago when I lived in Brazil. You can occasionally find the fruit, native to tropical climates, "fresh", in some supermarkets but it is very expensive. I was otherwise unable to find it here in the USA until I found passionfruit powder, unadulterated, according to the label.

Before ordering I tried to see country of origin and could not- China has very weak food production and farm practices…generally avoid products from China. Taste ok- not concentrated but ok. You do see presume passionfruit seeds in powder. Probably 1/4 to 1/3 c of powder in package- need 2 tsp to flavor ice tea Very expensive. Have bought jungle pulp brand in past and recommend it. Buyer beware of hidden origin of product

Taste wonderful. Will definitely order the passion fruit powder again. Love that they have seeds in.
