T-fal Platinum Stainless Steel Fry Pan 12 Inch Induction Oven Safe up to 500F Cookware, Pots and Pans, Dishwasher Safe Silver

I've been a tramontina fan for years now. I've been using their 12" and 8" non-stick aluminum fry pans for general purpose use for ages and have most of the sauce pans and stock pots (all the way up to the VERY massive 24", which I use for huge batches of chicken or smoked turkey stock when I have enough bones).I recently switched to induction and gave away my 8- and 12-inch aluminum fry pans which had some life left still, and picked up the 12-inch T-fal steel fry pan on the new induction surface. It's a very flat, nice and thick and heavy bottom. Great ergonomics on the handle, great nonstick capability, heats evenly (tested with a temp probe) across the surface and VERY quickly with induction. Over all, VERY happy with it.I wrote a nearly identical review of the Tramontina 10-inch, and basically copied and pasted my review of the T-fal since my testing results, and therefore disposition, are nearly identical. :)

I have submitted a number of reviews for cookware. Have probably used 100 or more frying pans from cast-iron and carbon steel to Hex Clad, All Clad, Ninja never-stick, and MANY more. Of all non-stick I have used thus far, if I were to need to buy another full non-stick frying pan, this is the one I would choose.Well made, nice finish (both stainless and non-stick), nice handle, very very non-stick. It is heavier than aluminum non-stick (I guess obviously), but the weight serves the purpose of helping to maintain heat, and since it is stainless it works with induction which aluminum won't. Also, because the handle is metal, which is different from some of the lower end (although IMO still good) T-Fal cookware, it can go stove to oven (or just oven).100% would recommend for non-stick frying pan, and a little cheaper than most high-end non-stick.

This pan is pretty huge, as you might expect from a 13” pan. The heat distribution doesn’t seem to be the best. Maybe it’s just that the pan is too big for my biggest burner? Maybe I’m a bad cook? Who knows. It’s nice to give the food all that room but it doesn’t seem to heat up everywhere.I can’t speak much to durability but it’s a typical (fairly lightweight) T-Fal pan. It’s nonstick, it cleans up fine, etc, etc. The one thing that makes me a little nervous is that the handle feels ever so slightly loose. It moves a little when you pick it up and I’ve only used the pan a couple times. It doesn’t feel like it’s about to break off or anything like that, but the main handle doesn’t even feel as solidly connected as the helper handle. Not sure how long it will stay on without incident, but I’m used to T-Fal and I know it’s decent for a cheap brand. I don’t use metal utensils in it and I hand wash all my dishes so I don’t know how it does in the dishwasher. I do stack my pans in one another and I know it’s not good for them but so far it hasn’t done any noticeable damage.I’ve uploaded some photos showing the pan at the bottom of the stack of my other pans and also this pan on my range next to a similar, standard 10” pan from a set. For the record, both pans are also next to a baker’s half sheet if that tells you anything.

I bought this on sale and I feel that it is a good buy for the money. Well made and non stick is good.

The pan I received differs a little from the photos. The entire bottom is shiny and reflects the heat back down and causes the stove top to overheat meanwhile the food cooks slow.

Harder to find this pan, but it’s a deal. First of all, it has a core that encourages even heating. It’s a nonstick pan, but the cooking surface is not aluminum if you’re worried about aluminum in your cooking. It’s truly a Tfal quality with the red dot in the center to let you know when it’s reached temp. I think there’s now newer models out to compare with. This is easy clean. I suggest to prolong life, wipe out with a paper towel any grease before cleaning.

Realmente es bárbaro, es un poco pesado pero denota su gran calidad. Calienta perfecto y nada se pega. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudas.

Me gusta el tamaño grande, pues le cabe bastante. Así no tengo que usar dos sartenes para freir papas o hacer otras cosas.

Perfect. Have been using this daily since I bought it and I have no complaints. Still flat and still non stick. very quick clean up
