The instructions provided aren't adequate for the Brother MFC 9840CDW. Brother said that only an authorized brother repair center could replace the fuser assembly, so they don't offer support or sell this unit retail. I wasn't able to find good instructions anywhere online. Eventually I got it but I'm not convinced that the filter, which is part of the unit, is in properly.

Got the unit quickly and was relatively easy to install. Boy what a difference it made. Our printer had streaks on every page. The plastic on the red rollers was ripped. Now the printer works like new, almost.

Fixed my problem with imprints on my copies- my fusee rollers had come apart. I had no messages that the fuser was worn out, but it was a great fix and easy to install

The price couldn't be beat anywhere on the web. Product arrived just days after ordering, packed perfectly. Unit installed in a snap with just a couple of screws. I have been using the printer for a few months now since the replacement and every copy looks great. Should get a couple more years out of the printer.
