Great for everyday
I love this heated brush! My hair is shoulder length and fine texture. This gives me extra volume and smoothness at the same time. It heats up very very fast (like 30s) and it’s easy to use. I like to shower at night, and barely blow dry my hair before bed. In the morning working with dry hair it takes me only 10 min to style it and look respectable. With 3 small kids I couldn’t ask for a better day to day styling tool. If my hair get a little flat and frizzy toward the end of the day due to rain/humidity, and we have somewhere to go, it’s very easy and fast to freshen up. I also use it to take out a ponytail crease fast. It won’t give you curls, but for my haircut and my hair type this is perfect. I’ve never been able to do my hair the way it looks leaving my hairdresser, but with this I get pretty close. Bouncy layers, lift at the roots, and silky smooth texture. The core of the brush gets pretty hot, but the bristles won’t burn your skin. Another plus with little curious hands touching things. At first I wasn’t overly excited about it because it doesn’t do anything super fun or special. But as I’m using it now 2 weeks in I could not be happier with how easy it is to make my hair look good everyday. I spend a lot of money on my haircuts, and it finally shows.

Get this if you want to be ready in minutes
I was hoping to get a good quality heated brush from Chi at this price but I really wasn't expecting to be blown away!! It usually takes me close to 30-40min to get my lightly curly hair (between shoulder and ear level length) to straighten with flat iron. This took me -NOT KIDDING- 10 minutes to do the same job. I had a wavy-straight hair after I'm done but with a bit of practice, completely straight hair is also possible if that's preferred. It takes less than a minute to heat up and it's pretty light to maneuver around. I didn't have my hair stuck on the sides of the roller. I was hesitant about the the silicon brushes to catch my hair but it didn't happen. I took away one star because the roller is tad bit too large for my below-ear level hair. I wish it's just 1/2 inch smaller for better formed curls. Also I wish it's a bit cheaper but you pay for the quality and ease of use. This is a keeper.

Features and build quality worth the extra cost.
Have been looking for a curling brush for awhile, and have tried and returned two different brands already. This is double the cost of the others I tried - but I'm happy to pay it because this is a significantly better curling brush. The most important difference is the heat controls. There's a digital readout and buttons to precisely control how hot the iron gets. Lower for fine hair to prevent damage, higher for thick hair for effective curling. The larger barrel is great for big curls, but where it really excels is giving your hair a round-brush-blowout look. I also appreciate that the long cord swivels. Makes it easier to use and no tangled cords. My only nitpick is the free heat-proof storage cover - it's too small. You have to really fuss with it to get it on the brush, which is impossible when it's hot. It needs to be much larger.

My Wish Came True (finally)!
I wish I had discovered this Chis Brush Curling Iron decades ago!! First of all, it's not a hair dryer. It's a curling iron where you can set the exact temperature that you want. It heats up quickly in about 30 seconds and the "brush" helps you grasp the section of hair that you want to curl. The Chi is 100% easier for me than curling irons without the brush, hair dryer curling brushes and different variations of electric and regular rollers. All I can say is this Chi Curling Iron Brush has given me back my dignity and has done it so easily! Thank you, Chi! Many times when I wake up, my hair is a mess; flat on the back and sides or curling in the wrong direction. This Chi Brush Curling Iron is one of the very best purchases that I've ever made. It's so easy to use! First of all, I'm a white female with normal to thin hair that can be curled or straightened easily when styling. For best results, I plug in the Chi, set the temperature to 280 degrees fahrenheit (it also goes up to 350 degrees fahrenheit); then divide my hair into sections and clip them until I take each of them down to work. Starting at the bottom, I curl one section at a time and count quickly to 25, then release the curl. Next, I move up to the next section. When finished, I brush into place, apply hairspray and I'm done. Wow!

Causes burns
I tried a lot of hair tools and this by far is the worst. The name spells quality but sorry, this does not. Both ends would cause burns. The red material is not heat resistant hence the heat migrates to the area closest to the heated material or plates. Watch out it would burn your skin and hands.

Best I've tried!
I have fine hair which I've been coloring since the age of 15. It tends to pouf out in humidity and the ends, although not split, tend to frizz and are hard to straighten. I dislike regular curling irons, find flat irons flatten too much and fry my ends. My go-to is the curling brush, and I tried and/or owned many curling brushes over the past 50 years. The first plain electric ones too often glued my hair to the silver barrel to where I had to unplug it and let it cool before I could untangle a few hairs at a time, losing/pulling out many in the process. Some curling brushes had no heat settings or had actual bristles that once again, pulled my hair out. And some just did nothing to the ends, no matter what how many times I combed it through or dared to hold it there. When I saw this brush had features I was seeking, I thought I'd try. So, here are my findings on my fine, color treated hair. I love the solid bristles! It can sit on my counter and not damage it, and does not burn me when using (I have burn marks on my forehead from others). The heat settings allow me to choose what temperature I want to use so as not to damage my hair (much better than "hot, warm, cool" settings on other brushes I've tried). The tourmaline ceramic coating is the best I've tried, allowing the brush to glide through my hair. I section it in very fine sections, comb through each (my hair tangles easily even with conditioner), then use the curling brush. It smooths away any waves or frizz, and leaves my hair shiny and new! My hair is between shoulder/chin length cut in a bob, and just swings now! The back of my hair is layered and the size of the barrel at 1 1/4" is perfect for the layers. I like some lift at the top of my hair so I section off a 1" part that I roll back in small sections, hold for 10 seconds, and unroll. The size of the barrel creates a perfect amount of lift for me. :-) This is my experience with this curling brush. It is the best I've ever used!

Works great, lasts a little over a year
It’s works really well to add volume to short to medium, easy to use. The perfect size for volume, not curly. I have purchased 2 and they fall start to fall apart, bristles/comb begin to fall off after about a year of use if used frequently then after a year and a half just need to be replaced.
