Good screen - helps water dispursion and keeps filter screen clean
I picked these up to add a small amount of space above my packed coffee to cut down on watery pucks. These screens worked as intended. My pucks are less wattery and pop out quite easily. These also help keep grounds from moving up onto the shower filter when pulling a shot. Cost is low, construction and durability is good. Benefits for my is twofold and worth using regularly. I would purchase again if these were lost or damaged.

Love it
My espresso Machine: Gaggia Classic Pro with 58mm PortafilterMy grinder: Baratza EncoreDepending on your espresso setup and how you do things, your results will vary. But for me, I do notice a difference when I use this, and my espresso always tends to taste/look better. The only issue I have is cleaning it, due to it being multi-layered with lots of holes. The way I clean it is by putting it in boiling water with white vinegar and letting it sit in there for 10 minutes. Then wash it off with dish soap.

If you use a portafilter
If you love a good espresso and you use a portafilter, this is a must. After using it for a week, I pulled the brew head screen. The results were amazing. I could barely tell I had been pulling shots for a week. Not only is cleaning easier, but my shots are noticeably better. The first time I used the filter my shot temperature was not as hot. After that, I kept the filter in the portafilter after cleaning. Now the temperature of my shot is normal. If you are using a portafilter buy this. You will be amazed.Adding text:The photo I’ve added is of a weeks worth of pucks. Although trivial, some will enjoy the side effect of using the puck screen.

Must have
When we first got our espresso grinder and machine we would use it without a screen and what a mess !This helps keep our machine nice and clean and packs it in the holder tightly. Easy to clean and dries fast. We use it daily and still looks like new.

I wanted to like it…but…
I didn’t notice any improvement with my pull. I liked that it kept the group head much cleaner. But then when the grounds get emptied into the knock box, the dang disc is so hot you can’t take it off without burning your fingers, so it has to go into the knock box which is a PITA to then dig out amidst the grounds. I really wanted to like this. Just made it way too much effort to use.

What an Amazing Accessory!
This espresso puck screen is amazing! It was recommended by my ultra-coffee snob friend (who makes the best espresso I've ever had)... I thought it was just a gimmicky gadget, but was I ever wrong! It keeps the shower head on my espresso machine free from all coffee grounds. I don't even get grounds when I back-flush. If you think this is an overkill on espresso machine accessories, think again! You'll be glad you got one! **Note: You may have to use a little less coffee in the portafilter so that the puck screen fits properly!

Not worth it
While it does prevent the puck from sticking to the top of the group head, you have to limit the amount of coffee in the portafilter and it still seems like it presses up agains the group head - which I assume is not good for the group head. Sending it back and have decided to go with paper filters since they're so thin.
