I saw some other reviews, figured I’d give an accurate one.This filter is brilliant, I’ve always used air filters, never have any problems, always have clear water.The filter comes with 2 sponges, so you need to take the little cap off the top, take one off, and you’re good to go. I saw a review with the filter in the tank, both sponges on (this is why instructions come for the most simplest of designs) over all I recommend. I run 2 air filters, lots of breeding in my tank, so with a high volume of fish, water quality is important, and I never have any problems.

Compact and dose the job really well it’s quiet and has a really good built quality it’s easy to setup and cleans your fish tank really well only flaw is the sponge Dose not maintain its shape once in water

This works amazingly well gives a gentle water flow that my female betters can handle and clears up the water in no time. Just be sure to take of the spare filter pad that's squeezed onto it. I don't know why they offered a spare you shouldn't have to ever change it if your cleaning it out in the fish tank water when doing water changes to keep all the beneficial bacteria simply changing it would reset your cycle.

I took this out to clean. The bit off plastic that connects to filter snapped inside. Un able to remove the bit off plastic. I'm literally 4 days out from not being able to return. Had this 6 weeks now it's completely useless

The sponge filter clears the water great. So happy with that. Just had a problem with understanding the instructions for taking it apart ready to put in tank. They were not very clear at all, and I had to try to figure it out myself. I eventually did. Fasteners for the tube that goes through the middle of the sponge are not very strong. You need to be careful with them otherwise the sponge will not stay on the base if they break. There are only 2 of them. It takes a while for the sponge filter to sink to the bottom of the tank. The air brick supplied with my filter was the same size as the plastic tube, so I had to use a smaller one for the bubble maker to work. The tube needs to fit over the air brick. I was lucky I had an air pump with 2 outlets, as the new sponge filter used one and my air stone also needed one. It came with 2 one way filters and some plastic tube to fit to air pump. Overall I am happy with the filter doing its job. But I struggled putting it together, and I am usually quite good at that. Better instructions are needed. It took me several hours to sort out the filter and fitting it to the air pump.

worked well pump for few months now as out of time cant send it back or get refund due to it breaking after few months.i went into my room where my tank was and the sponges were floating at top of the tank when i looked at it the clip tube part was broke yet i have not taken it apart i just took it out the box and placed it in the tank.now i have no filter.cant seem to find where to contact AQQA where i got it from to ask for new part or refund as only few months old

I expected it to be bigger, it is rather small, but I see the way it pumps air, quite a nice flow. I am rather pleased with it.
