I was looking for this type of kettle for a while. After a year using the first one now I bought two more. one for my office the other two for me & my husband at home. I love its function. quick boil water. then keep it warm until u finish it. easy and clear. Love its material. No plastic. just glass. easy to clean. Love the design. simple with white color. cannot be happier!

i like the kettle one very much even plan of to buy more than one it to use but too bad of the big problem is i see so many weird white pieces in water also water has something look like oil very unsafe for my health but i am only use brand new bottle water buy from amazon here for use and testing the kettle one. i'm testing many times still repeat the same problem end up return it back no keep it more .i am not sure of why i see so many white pieces in the water and oil so curious of where it is comes from into the clear water ? . i read customer comment same item but with anOTHER seller find out different buyer got same problem as i got with this product one.it is bad quality unsafe for drink if use it for cook .how it is for baby if bad like what i see by myself ? . it's unsafe for make milk to baby drink .i'm getting 3 orders of total this kettles ones but on the boxes has red label seem of it's opened box orders or whatever so curious but i see review from another buyer is not had red label on each box.i like of it is keep warm for my need but the big problem is weird white things and oil in water very bother me. i am not feeling safe for my health to use it have to return no keep more.

I'm conflicted on this one as the price is on par with variable temperature electric kettles that hold more capacity.This one is similar in design to other kettles. It features a glass container with a small heating rod inside. Be careful cleaning this as water can get into the base causing the kettle to fail.One key difference is the capacity; this will only hold 40oz of water. Other kettles will be around 60oz of liquid. The variable temperature is also different. Most kettles will only go as low as 140F since that's the temperature you want to heat Japanese greens. This one operates in 113F, 131F, 158F, 185F, 194F. So this one will go lower than other kettles. This one has a keep warm and does the standard boil, and lets the water cool down.Since this has a metal base, hard water can cause discoloration. Using a magic sponge can quickly take care of it. If you decide to brew tea directly in the container, smells will leach.If you're between purchasing this and other variable kettles, I would get a regular variable kettle since you can always add room temperature to cool down the temperature.The last option I would consider is the Chefman Instant electric water kettle (https://smile.amazon.com/Chefman-Instant-Electric-Water-Safety/dp/B01CNOUJ0Q). It's a little pricier than this, but it has a 4L capacity and constantly keeps warm.Overall, this will function as a variable electric kettle, but the other options would also be suitable for baby formula.
