MerrellMen's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot

I hike a lot, for both work and for fun. These shoes are my everyday shoes that I wear throughout the year on hiking trips, backpacking trips, easy rock climbing, mountain biking, etc. I get a solid year out of them. By the end of twelve months the soles start wearing thing and I buy a new pair of the exact same shoes. I've been buying a new pair of these every July or August for about 10 years. I usually buy them at Bob's Stores, which have now closed. Fortunately, I found them here on Amazon and bought the exact size and model that I always get. I was nervous about not being able to try them on and see them in person, but they are exactly what I wanted and the exact fit. I'll buy another pair here next year.

Took these boots out of the box and did 25 miles in 12 hours of the most rugged terrain in the Appalachians. Dolly sods, WV. 10 river crossings. 5 miles of wetland bogs. Mud knee deep. Loose rock, bouldering, gravel, tree roots, slippery conditions, steep elevation gain and descent. Pretty much every kind of terrain you can imagine. These boots held up. Minimal foot discomfort beyond what is to be expected from a challenge of this magnitude. These boots are the standard for a reason. They deliver out of the box comfort in almost any hiking condition and can handle almost any challenge. Picture of my boots after the hike is attached for reference. I put these boots to the maximum test, and they passed with flying colors. Very happy with my purchase.

The best hiking shoes I have ever purchased! (And I've owned a few.) I ordered these because my last two pair of hiking boots were Merrill and I have had really good luck with them. I wanted a boot that was comfortable right from the moment I first put them on, as well as having a sturdy sole and waterproof. I got all of this with these boots. No two pair of feet are the same and my dogs are wide, so I appreciate that Merrill offers footwear in wide. The original insoles come out easily so I replaced them with a pair of insoles with arch support. I wore them for their inaugural hike (a 5-miler) and was truly pleased with their comfort.

Very comfortable, and the size is right on, unfortunately they are lower than they appear for a mid height.

Users with Foot Neuropathy - I decided to splurge on the Merrell Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boots. I am challenged with foot issues that make it difficult to walk without experiencing tingling in my feet, numbness, and blisters. These hiking boots were so supportive and comfortable, I was able to walk 2 miles without any issues. I put an orthotic in my size 14W (for wide) hiking boots. I'd recommend going up one size from your normal size and then select a Wide fit option. These hiking boots felt amazing, supportive, durable and stable. I'm happy I made the decision to grab a pair. I'm pretty sure that you would be just as satisfied yourself should you do the same.

This is the most comfortable out-of-the-box-fitting mid boot I have ever owned. I put them on and went for a walk around the block as soon as I received them yesterday. They have a nice snug fit and wrap around my foot comfortably. I can't wait to take them on the tail. They are made of very high-quality materials, and the tread is well-suited for gripping on the trail.

Best Merrel I have gotten so far :)Im not to color inclined as far as work/shoes go, but these are so comffie WITH the Keen 70 utility insole, i just had to say something! All my Merrels have gotten Keen insoles, tbh, its a great pairing :) However, these specific Merrels are beyond comffie, and 10/10! Will buy again =D Its like walking on a bed of marshmellows with pillows straped on your feet !!

I own 3 pair of Moab 3. I rotate them to let them air out, and they all fit differently depending on the compression sock I wear. Some socks are thicker. These are well made shoes that have held their shape and color. The Avacado color, 2 pairs owned, are my favorite and I think people liked them, too. They can be washed without falling apart. I wear them a lot.. I also own a pair of olive drab Moabs. The fit is accurate for size and well made..
