The weight to this thing is both nice and a pain. Very much a beggars can't be choosers scenario. If you like a taught line, this will work. If you want to do the job quickly and think this will help you faster, it might not work. The weight causes the line to move at a greater weight until it slows down. However, the weight does help make the line more useable. It really is a preference thing.

Plumb bobs don't lie. This is one of the greatest things about them. They are simple yet extremely effective. This one is no different. It definitely does the job. While I like the pencils and sharpener that it comes with, it would have been nicer to have some case or bag to store and protect it and the string. Not a huge deal.It's definitely accurate, but doesn't really stabilize very quickly. It took a long time to stop the pendulum swing to get a point, so I took off a star for that. But if you aren't in a big hurry and have a little patience, it will do the job correctly!

The plumb bob works well however the ones I primarily use have the string line connected from inside the top by tying off the line under the cap and assure there is only one reference point from top of bob to ceiling/joist/beams above. In my opinion the bobs with one line have always been most accurate and the tie off on the outside always showed the plumb to be off from 1/8" to 3/16". If you think about this in any long measurement that can through your work off out of plumb quite significantly.
