SUGAR POP Nourishing Lip Balm in the Cherry Red shade, and I must say, it was a huge letdown. I had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately, it did not live up to its claims. First of all, the tinted color was not what I expected at all. The "Cherry Red" shade looked promising in the packaging, but upon application, it barely showed up on my lips. It lacked pigmentation and appeared more like a faint, uneven stain rather than a vibrant cherry tint. If you're looking for a noticeable pop of color, you'd be better off with a different lip balm. The promise of nourishing and moisturizing dry, chapped lips was another letdown. While the balm did provide a temporary boost of moisture upon application, it quickly wore off, leaving my lips feeling even drier than before. I had to reapply the product multiple times throughout the day, which defeats the purpose of a nourishing lip balm. The inclusion of Castor Oil in the ingredients list sounded promising, but it failed to deliver any significant benefits to my lips. In fact, I found that the lip balm felt quite greasy and heavy on my lips, which made me uncomfortable and conscious of its presence. One of the main reasons I purchased this lip balm was its claim of being SPF infused for lip protection. However, I couldn't find any information about the SPF level on the packaging or the product description. This lack of transparency is concerning, especially when it comes to a product intended for lip care and sun protection. The overall quality of the packaging was also subpar. The lip balm tube felt flimsy and cheap, and the cap didn't close securely, making it prone to leakage and mess. Considering the price point of this lip balm, I expected a lot more in terms of both performance and quality. Unfortunately, the SUGAR POP Nourishing Lip Balm in the 02 Cherry shade was a complete disappointment, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for an effective tinted lip moisturizer. Save your money and invest in a higher-quality lip product that actually delivers on its promises.
