Macbook pro 13 inch A1502 Battery

My old Macbook Pro 13 inch battery no longer functioned and had swelled in the case, causing a bulge under the keyboard and trackpad. This replacement battery was fairly easy to install and now my old Macbook works great with Linux. The retina screen of the 2013 macbook pro still holds up well.

Excellent device. Fun to use and the no-cords, last-all-day battery makes this a winner. Email support was fast and very helpful.

Here is my installation experience. The packaging was very nice—everything was well-secured and in place. Although I’m not a particularly handy person, I decided to try installing it myself. I did end up needing some additional tools: a piece of paper to note the screw positions with a hand-drawn diagram, Scotch tape, a dropper, 91% isopropyl alcohol (OTC from Walmart), pure acetone (nail polish remover), a mini vacuum/blower, an empty pill box, several dry cloths to clean residue, and a device to watch a specific YouTube instruction video. The instruction sheet included with the package wasn’t detailed enough for me, and some of the information was even misleading. I began by opening the back panel while numbering the identical screws as #1, #2, etc., marking their positions on the paper. I kept the screws in separate slots in the pill box and noted things like “8 × #1 in slot 1,” “2 × #2 in slot 2,” and so on. I’m not great at remembering everything, so taking notes helped a lot. When opening the speakers, I found that they used three different types of screws, so grouping similar ones together made things easier. I used the blower/vac to remove as much visible dust as possible without touching any components. The difficult part was separating the existing battery pack. The instructions for removing the middle cells didn’t work for me, as there was no space to insert the tool from the right side. I applied isopropyl alcohol with a dropper while carefully working the tool in, hoping not to damage the trackpad. With a lot of patience, I finally managed to free the battery pack. After that, I needed acetone to remove the remaining tough adhesive from the base. Fortunately, the provided tools were sturdy, well-angled, and worked well. Installing the new battery pack was a nightmare. The existing adhesive sheet was so misaligned that there wasn’t enough space to fit the speakers. I had to remove the top adhesive sheet because it didn’t have enough glue to hold the batteries in position. Then I removed the bottom sheet to realign the batteries before placing it back. I used multiple small pieces of Scotch tape to hold the cells together during installation. Eventually, I was able to insert the battery properly and reassemble everything. In this step, the notes, diagram, and pill box were extremely helpful. The rest was simple—powering up, resetting the battery, etc. The system recognized the new battery and displayed the expected details. I can't comment on long-term battery life yet, but after a full charge I streamed a YouTube video for about 40 minutes and the battery dropped to 92%. After closing the lid and returning an hour later, it showed 87%. It seems to be discharging rather quickly. I’m not sure how to benchmark it properly, but I’m hopeful it will at least last a few hours.

Battery works well, was relatively easy to replace on my model (A1502), and came with the tools i needed to do the repair. The only thing that could make products like these easier is if the came with information/resources to help properly dispose of the battery. Can’t find anywhere in town to get rid of it but can’t stand the thought of throwing it in the trash - but that’s not even the products’ fault. Overall solid quality replacement and reasonably priced.

They shipped a bad battery. After replacing other components (right input board) to chase the issue, it was determined that this was indeed a failed, bad battery. By that time we missed the return window by 8 days. So now, not only did we waste 60 bucks on this brick, but also lost money on unnecessary parts and repairs. I let the repair shop dispose of this no-quality battery. Turns out it was an expensive mistake to order this brand.

Good battery kit. Get one. Works. Tools good. Dumped old batt at home depot… Macbook is mac’ing again.

This MacBook replacement battery kit is fantastic! The included tools made the installation super easy, and the instructions were clear and well-written. Even if you’re not super tech-savvy, the step-by-step guide makes the process a breeze. The battery itself works great so far, holding a solid charge. Definitely worth it if you need a replacement!

It is a comprehensive kit and the install went smooth, but ultimately I had to go a different route with my situation. Their customer service was friendly and more than fair when it came to providing options to help solve the issue, I would purchase their products again in the future.

Le kit de démontage pour la batterie usagée est très appréciable et la notice explicatrice bien documentée. Les performances de la batterie sont un tout petit peu supérieures à celles annoncées. C'est parfait !

El kit viene muy completo y la batería encaja perfectamente. Instalada sin ningún problema y funcionando al instante. 40 minutos llevó la operación, tomándolo con mucha calma Respecto a la duración, el tiempo dirá. Nueva vida para el Pro por un 25% del coste de un servicio técnico. La foto corresponde al estado de la batería remplazada (algo hinchadas y con capacidad de carga totalmente agotada).

Akku kam wie bestellt an. Enthalten waren neben dem Akku auch eine detaillierte Step-by-Step Anleitung, das benötigte Werkzeug sowie andere Materialien. Einbau war problemlos möglich und das MacBook Pro (A1502) funktionierte problemlos. Der Akku war zu 50% vorgeladen beim Einbau. Bisher konnte ich keine schlechtere Performance, als mit dem Originalakku feststellen (schauen wir mal wie es noch einigen Monaten der Nutzung aussieht).

Viene todo lo necesario para instalarla: herramientas de bastante calidad y manual de instalación, con un poco de maña se instala rápidamente. Por ahora funciona bien, he tenido que calibrarla porque no detectaba bien los porcentajes de carga pero funcionamiento perfecto por ahora.
