Okay, so if you know the 501st, you know that some costumes are uncomfortable. In my case, 1 costume makes it impossible to turn your head without twisting the helmet at least a noticeable amount. To the rescue is this hose extender. It is way more flexible than the standard hoses and looks great. My costume requires gray rather than black. No problem, I have flexible gray paint already on hand for when I had to make the boots gray.Love this hose extension and the fact that the fittings are easily removable. SUPERGUM, thank you!

Functions well, but produces an extremely distracting wheezing noise from the angled end. Without headphones on or earplugs in, I don't tend to like using this item. It has a strong rubber smell, but that may be what you're into, so mileage may vary.

I ordered this extension tube just to add a little more flexibility in case I ever had to use my gas mask. The tube fits great as I’m sure it would fit well to just about any mask that fits 40mm filters. The tubing is highly flexible but also sturdy. In other words, you aren’t going to restrict your breathing if a little pressure is put on it. It is a bit pricey but feels very well made. If you ever need it in any sort of life-or-death situation, you definitely will need something that will hold up and from what I can tell, this one certainly will.

I got a CBRN rated respirator at the start of COVID, and this will make wearing it (should it ever again be necessary) way easier over the course of the day. I can just clip the filter to my clothes and not have the neck strain. The hose is exactly as described in the listing.

Now I can carry my filter in my pocket if I want while in use.

Why would I breath through this???Even after washing with soap and water and letting it air out for several weeks it still smells terrible

Haven't had a chance to test this with any sprays or gasses yet, but this seems VERY expensive for just a rubber hose. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is the same reason I ordered it; this seems to be the only hose with a right angles connector I could find on here, which tents to be VERY useful.If you need a 40mm NATO hose with a right angled connection, this is worth it because it's your only choice. If you don't need that, there are plenty of other 40mm NATO hoses out there for much lower price.
