I've had this power adapter hooked up for about a year now and have had no problems, works great on my ring doorbell but be advised that you still need a rechargeable battery in the unit for this to work. Worth the money to not have to take battery out to recharge.

Since I don’t have an existing hardwired door chime, this served as the sole power source for my doorbell camera.Before installing it outside near the front door, I plugged it into the camera to test its functionality, and it worked flawlessly.I especially appreciate the generous cord length, which made it easy to discreetly route it along the door frame to a hidden electrical outlet near the front door.This product is a great solution for anyone without a hardwired setup!
