Great resource to help children with learning colours, counting, matching and sorting
These are a great resource for a nursery, childcare or pre-school setting to help children with learning colours, counting, matching and sorting. The large plastic jar contains 20 plastic 'biscuits' that can be taken apart (so 40 small pieces), mixed up then matched back together again. The jar has a handle for easy carrying and is ideal for storing the pieces when not in use so they don't get lost!I wouldn't suggest using this for under 3 yr olds because while the pieces are quite sturdy, they could potentially be a choking hazard for little ones, but they are ideal for children old enough not to put things in their mouth. And the tactile edges/patterns of the pieces and bright colours make them attractive and sensory-appealing for SEN children in particularDefinitely a recommended brand for learning resources in the classroom or at home!

Lots of playing fun
I’ve used this with small children ages between 3 and 8 over two afternoons and they’ve all enjoyed playing with it. They don’t need to have it explained, they just look at the cookie halves and understand straight away that they need to match the two sides of the cookie to make each one complete. There are 20 cookies split into 40 halves each with a number on from 1-20. I’ve seen children lining them up in number order, setting them out in rows and patterns, and enjoying taking them apart to test other children. It’s surprised me how much play value there is in them and how long children carry on playing with them for. The tub has a carry handle and it’s really easy to pop them back in and store the tub for next time.

Additional needs, learning resources products ticks all the boxes. 👍
Having children with additional needs and finding products which will help with developing, skills, confidence, communication at a reasonable price is very hard to find but the brand learning resources brings all this and more. They are excellent quality, bright bold colours, decent size, portable and comes in a strong storage tub with lid and carry handle.

Really lovely bird sorting game that is so simple, yet so effective.
As a Nursery Practitioner, I just love this simple sorting game! This promotes colour recognition, matching, counting and fine motor skills and so much more. The set consists of 5 coloured bird boxes with corresponding coloured birds - you can match the bird to the correct box for a sorting game. As an extra learning element, each bird has a different expression ranging from sad, sleepy, angry, confused and happy. The bird boxes are numbered, which introduces numerals and supports counting skills. In my experience, children love toys that they can open, empty and fill - all important milestone experiences for development. As with all toys that I am offered for review, I shared this set with my Nursery Playroom where the children are aged 2 - 3 and these have been really popular! They are a great size for little hands to hold, and the lids come off and fit back on really easily. The children have loved exploring the birds and have sued them for their imaginative play as props and puppets, as well as enjoying the sorting game. These are really well made and just such a lovely, simple concept. I would be happy to gift these and feel they make a great addition to our Nursery toy shelf. Worth every penny of their £17.00 price tag.
