Would this be good for 1 year olds to 18 month olds?

Could you build a story around a single farm animal - say a cow - yes. In that case it would work for you, but a group of wee ones, I don't think you will be met with success. I think that big picture books, especially pop-up books, will be extremely rewarding. I'll tell yu that I do have one 15 month old little girl who's as smart as a whip. While her vocabulary as far as speaking goes is quite limited, I can set up the farm/barn scene ahead of time and ask her to move the farmer next to the chickens, so forth and so on, and she does quite well with it. It is a well-made set and the older children have had hours or imaginative free time with it.

I was going to use the 3M brand hooks that have a thick tape that attaches to the wall. The package I received didn't include hooks. Only holes for the hooks not provided
