I'm very satisfied with the door safety bar. It's sturdy, easy to set up and durable. Over all, a good quality product for the price.

This product was so reasonably priced. It is strong and affective in keeping our outside patio door closed and protected.

My grandmother, who has dementia, had become increasingly paranoid and had taken to stacking furniture in front of her doors at night - a hazardous behavior that terrified me. I worried a fire could break out, trapping her inside, or that she could injure herself pushing the heavy furniture. Concerned for her safety, I purchased these security bars for each of her doors. They provided an effective solution, allowing my grandmother to feel safe without risking her wellbeing. She could easily install them in the evenings and remove them each morning, giving us both peace of mind. This simple intervention was a tremendous success!

The media could not be loaded.  Let me start by saying this security bar is definitely worth consideration. The purpose of purchasing this is to add an extra level of protection to your home and give you a better chance at protecting you, your loved ones, and property.The security bar comes in a nice box with simple instructions. To set it up, you push the button at the bottom, rotate the bar, slide up until you reach the right length, and lock in place. Once the right length has been found, you simply lodge against the door and you are good to go.I want to note a few things: - This security bar is not the be-all end-all of added security. When lodged up against the door, this is not meant to stop a linebacker or police from coming into your front door. The purpose is to deter potential burglars and provide you another layer to security in alerting you of a possible break-in. Presuming thieves want to break into your home quietly, it is not easy to do so as seen in the video. Additionally, any noise that is made would alert you and give you added time to prepare to run or defend yourself. - That being said, you must lodge the security bar against the door at an angle for the best results in my observation. To make this more effective, I push in the rubber stopper at the bottom, which creates more resistance when trying to open the door. - The security bar can be used to lock a sliding balcony door or patio door, you simply adjust the length and it works the same.Overall, I really enjoy this and will buy again when the time comes.

Strong solid metal, very easy to adjust. Works great with regular door or sliding door.Head is very easy to changes, not complicated at all.Packaging a little too plain, no picture or not enough information.

Looks solid but obviously you won't kick your door to test it. Unfortunately the only way to truly test it is the time you don't want to ever happen. I'll give 5 for the price and sturdiness, but i am not rating it at all for effectiveness.

Only received it yesterday and I’m glad I did! A repair man, who had a key to my apartment from my landlord, came to my apartment this morning while I was asleep. I had no idea he was suppose to come today, let alone in the morning, but the security bar kept him out! He had unlocked the door and started excessively knocking because he couldn’t get through, which woke me up finally. Would recommend if you live alone.

The foot base seem to slip on hardwood floor. It seems sturdy, but it has not been tested for a real life scenario. It is wise to pair this item with a baseball bat for extra support if the door knob gives in....
