Love Love Love these boots! They are adorable and fit quite well. I was worried since I have a wider calf and tend not to fit into boots. But since you can untie and loosen and tighten the laces where needed, you can custom the fit. When you get the fit where needed you can just use the side zipper so your not untying every time. The top detail of the boot is not attached. You can remove it if you like. The two straps are connected to the square extra piece of pleather at the top and they Velcro closed to secure. It looks like it's attached when on and stays put. The boots seem well made. I was scared they were going to be "costume" quality but they look like they will last years with no problems. If your looking for a cool unique pair of boots, I'd recommend these.

I LOVE these boots! They were perfect for a steampunk cosplay I did. That being said, I normally wear a size 6.5 so I ordered a 7. While the shaft of the boot can be adjusted, the inside of the foot bed cannot. They are a bit loose for me around the foot. They are totally doable with thicker socks and comfortable enough to wear (slightly big) for many hours. I also have wide calves and usually have to buy wide-calf boots. With the lacing in these boots, you can easily accommodate for wide calves. My calf circumference is about 15.5" and these fit fine with leggins under them. The top section is adjusted with a long velcro strip and can be completely removed if needed for wearing without as must "steampunking".

I bought these in October for a Halloween costume and they really completed the costume.They fit perfectly but only because I took into consideration other reviews and bought 1 size larger than I normally wear. (Normally wear a size 7, bought a size 8)The best part about these boots is that they fit my large calves. It's a huge issue for me when buying boots because I have much larger calves than most women. The fact that the laces in the front of the boots actually function was the reason I could wear these without discomfort.I didn't have any issues with the heel breaking like some other reviewers did but I don't weigh much either.Overall, I love the look of these boots. They are more comfortable than you would expect.

I really thought the boots were gorgeous. Unfortunately, they did not fit me properly, and I was not able to wear them, and I had to return them. They were way too large in circumference in the upper calf area. For reference these are knee-high boots and I bought a size 10 and I am 5 foot 8 1/2 135 pounds and my legs are slim.I gave reference to my height and weight and general leg size so that other potential buyers of this particular style of boot are aware that they are very large in circumference in the upper calf area. So, if you have thin or smaller calves as I do, they may want to contact the seller, or check the circumference of the boots and their upper calf, to make sure of a proper fit before purchase, I did not think to do this as I’ve never run into this problem before, but I will be doing so in the future. But I ABSOLUTELY recommend them!. They are very nice boots and I’m sad that they didn’t fit and I couldn’t keep them.

I wear an 8 1/2 in regular shoes and anywhere from a 7-7 1/2 in heels. The smaller size just makes them fit better and I dont have that annoying gap that happens a lot at the back of the shoe. size 7 was a little too small, but still surprisingly comfortable! These boots also look a little cheap, but hey, they're cute and comfy and moderately cheap. So overall rating is 4 star because there was no option to order a half size, but other than that, good buy :) OH! and some other people wrote that the gear things come off, they do! except on the the toe of the boot. that one cant come off.

I have a permeant injury on my foot so most heels like this i cant wear. These not only have a side zipper but you can actually loosen thf laces that run up the frount and change the tightness. This allowed me to adjust the tightness and make the shoe comfterbly fit on my foot that is always swollen. It also has the top strap thing over the foot that gave additional hold as well as veing cute.

I love these boots! I just got them and wore them for about 8hrs. I have to admit that with heels wearing them(getting the fit right) and learning how to walk in them properly is a must for sustained comfort.( I only sat for about 2 of those 8 hours and didn't feel the need to sit during long durations)Pros-hidden platform is still a platform and as such makes them more comfortable.-laces, they come with enough lace to climb up the boot and then some(probably enough to fit a thigh length boot) and so there is no excuse for a "slippy" fit regardless of leg size. or to give you room to tuck your jeans into them ;)-the top of the boot, if you look at the picture you will see the two bands with the gear accents? well those are just velcro on pieces and as such removeable! so if you want to hide the bows of the laces you can have them or remove them and let those bows show! Effectively giving you 2 sets of boots in one!Con- the material is very pliant and so a boot tree is needed.- and they come in a box that is way too small for knee boots. maybe ankle high but come on if you have to fold the boot in half to make it fit you need a bigger box!Suffice to say I thought I was buying a pair of boots that would be worn along with cosplay and the like, and stumbled into my new favorite pair!

I Love these boots! They look and fit great, but I wish I could rate them just 4.8 stars... I bought these for my Halloween costume. We spent the evening and late into the night (about 9 hours) at a local casino's costume contest night, most of it on my feet. But I have one small problem... The plastic tip of one heel broke off on the way home. I noticed only a slight difference in the click - click sound as I walked through my garage at home. I'm sure I can get the tip replaced. They are just boho enough to wear out for fun.The heels are 4 inches high, and the platform is approximately 3/4 inch high, for a very walkable 3-1/4 inch rise, ball of foot to center of heel.
